Payment Method Registration Errors [Error Code 401 and 601]

My friend and I just began playing. We bought the ARR/Heavensward combo pack thinking we'd be able to play ARR until the expansion launched. Nope. Had to shell out an additional $40 to get us each 1 copy of ARR. That's on top of the $120 for two of the combo packs. We want to transfer to Balmung, because we're both interested in RP, and that is the only server for it, and it's always locked to character creation, meaning another $40 is about to be spent. Reading through the character transfer services, it seems we can't transfer without an active subscription, meaning our 30 days of free game time are holding us back. So, I try to set up a subscription, knowing full well we're both going to go the 3 month route so we'll still be active for Heavensward's release. So, another $80.

So far I've paid $160 so my friend and I can just play the game, and now I have to cough up another $120 so we can play on a server we'd like to play on, let alone access the items from the recruit a friend code we redeemed. In the span of -1 week- I am being forced to send $280 to play a game on a server we desire, and yes, I know I could just go for the 1 month subscription, but I already explained that.

I can get over paying $280 in the span of a week so we can play a game we want to play together. What I cannot get over is being blocked at the finish line by the stupidest error code ever. I can't even figure out how much Crysta it would cost to add game time to our accounts since I'm told I still have game time and don't need to buy any. I'm guessing I'll have to shell out $100 for Crystal, since that would be the closest option to how much the game time would cost if I were able to use my credit card.

Yes, this is a rant. I'm very upset over how much money I've spent on this game. My friend and I have barely been playing for three days now. We still have the green sprouts next to our names. This is utterly ridiculous.

2 different credit cards, 2 different computers. 401 error on both, first time using them in ... months. Tried purchasing crysta. It gives me an error before even getting to that page. SE is really making it hard for me to give them money. FFS just make a global paypal option and be done with this!
