Took a 45 minute walk to town to put in the exact amount needed for my ffxiv subscription.
Got home, tried to subscribe, error 406.
Thought that's strange, tried to subscribe again, error 406.

Went to online banking, and was now £2 less than what i put in, with it going to SE.
Called customer support and was told that i should have put in £10 in my bank, not the exact amount of £9 that I put in , as they take a £1 test fee, THEN the subscription fee.
Was told it was being escalated, and got a seriously vague answer to when I would expect results. "Oh i can't put a time on it", i asked well are we talking today, this week, next week? "ooh, i can't exactly say".

How about putting a notice about needing the extra money in the account BEFORE allowing us to click to pay SE?
Oh, and gimme my damn £2 back so i can buy another subscription method eh?
