I managed to web chat with with support. They have escalated the issue to head office because it is a payment issue...

This is what i got:
The 401/601 error relates to an issue processing your payment. We recommend you do not try to register your payment method again as more attempts may cause your card to be blocked on our service for up to 30 days.

Please note that if you are using the credit/debit card option and have already made 3 attempts or more to make this payment, you will need to wait at least 24 hours before trying again.

To help us investigate further, we would like you to provide the following information:

- Square Enix ID
- The type of card you are using (Credit/Debit, ELV, VISA, MasterCard etc.)
- The country the card was issued in
- The country you are currently in
- The name of the bank that issued the card
- The number of times you tried to process the payment after you got the initial error message
After replying i got:
Ok, I have escalated the issue to our head office in order to look into this further for you
and then:
We will be in touch via email as soon as we have more information for you
Seems kind of scripted to me. As if i were talking to a bot... Nevertheless I await said email
