Dear Customer,

Regarding your request for account support. Please find your answer below.

If you are receiving an error 601 or error 401 when attempting to update your payment method, then there is an issue where the financial institution is declining the authorization attempt. Unfortunately as SQUARE ENIX is not the financial institution, we are not provided with any information as to why the authorization was declined, only that it was. Please confirm that all billing information is entered correctly on the SQUARE ENIX Account in question. Please also note that once an authorization has been rejected, that form of payment cannot be attempted again for a full twenty-four hours, and any further attempts before that time will automatically be rejected. If you would like further information about this specific authorization attempt, please contact your financial institution. If you wish to begin playing immediately, please choose a different payment option and payment method, available through the SQUARE ENIX Account Management System.

Thank you for contacting the SQUARE ENIX Support Center.
Pretty much the exact same message everyone is getting.

This is My Response to them:

Yea, I've already confirmed that it's NOT my financial institution.
You guys mean to tell me that you've had this issue since September and are still blaming it on the players? Really?

Questions You Will Answer:
How long is my account blocked from trying to subscribe (to a game that I've paid for three times now not including the collector's edition upgrade)?

When will I be able to HOPEFULLY successfully subscribe to said game?

When are you actually going to FIX the broken billing system?

Again I will note (as I did in Multiple Tickets)
* I am a 1.0 player.
* I am a CLOSED BETA PLAYER! (and you guys TREAT US LIKE THIS?! Wtf)
* My legacy account Magically disappeared after doing the world transfer (Thanks guys! Great job!)
* I upgraded to the Collector's Edition just days before my renewal - that processed JUST FINE. Using the exact same card information. The exact same Billing Information. Everything is exactly the same.
* I have two subscriptions that use the Exact Same Billing information. The Exact Same Freaking CARD. Both were set to autorenew. One processed perfectly (My husband's account) and one did not (my account). Care to explain why? Because OBVIOUSLY, it's NOT my financial information that's wrong, it's your bloody billing system.
* I attempted the UltimaPlay work around to buy crysta in order to renew my subscription. I have a statement on my account where it was DECLINED by Square Enix.

I finally quit trying to work around your crap system. I have put a stop payment on Everything regarding Square Enix until YOU fix your billing system and can confirm 100% that I will be able to subscribe to a FREAKING GAME that I've paid for 3 MOTHER FREAKING TIMES! THREE FREAKING TIMES, GUYS.... THREE.

You know, I have been a lifelong fan of Square Enix and the Final Fantasy Series. I've played every single game. I have worked on my skills as a designer in the hopes that One day I will be able to be part of the team that produces the games that I have loved so much throughout my life. But ... if problems within your own systems and your own merchants are going to be put off on the players ... I don't know if I can continue to show support to something like this.

When I played v1.0 of FFXIV, I paid 50$ for the game. I bought $500.00 worth of Crysta to be able to consistently renew my subscription. When the game went under I said, "Ya know, Square's the good guys... they will make this right." When I applied to the Closed Beta for FFXIV ARR I was absolutely thrilled to be picked to be a part of it. It was an amazing experience. When I logged in and saw my original character there in all of her glory, I was thrilled. I created a new character for the rebirth of the game. When the world transfer for legacy's came about I made sure I applied properly, got my character moved to the right server and thought everything was fine. Mind you, I'd already noticed the complete loss of all of my crysta from my 1.0 days. The week after I bought it, the game went down for good. You guys wouldn't refund it. At all. I was out $550.00. But I held fast in my faith in Square. Then, when the game was officially released, BOOM. She's gone. Just freaking gone. I contacted support - I was told there was Nothing they could do. They Lost Her. It was blamed on ME.
Again.

Now as a veteran beta tester, as a legacy player, as a lifelong fan - I'm being told that You are not in the wrong when clearly and without fail - You Are. Shame on you. SHAME ON YOU. How dare you treat your fans, the people who make sure that YOU GET PAID, the people who have supported you through thick and thin are treated like this?!

Once upon a time, being a fan of Square Enix and Eidos held some respect in the gaming community. Now, fans hide their faces in shame. Square has become our "dirty little secret". Why? It's because we're treated like dirt. We are spit upon by the same people we have respected for years. The same people some of us have taught our children to respect.

This makes me sad. It should make YOU sad
Not like it'll do any good, but there's just some things that need to be said. I don't handle being treated like crap or disrespected very well.
