    Hi, i keep having the 401 error at the final step aswell since the 3rd Nov. Ive tried few times including today and its still not working, so i assume im locked for 30 days...
    But im not even sure about it since i cant even check anywhere if im indeed locked or not.

    Didnt have any problem last month though...

    Having no answer from SE about this, is unacceptable.

    I'm super frustrated right now cause I have this 401 error code as well. Whats funny is I went out and bought a pre-paid card and first bought the collectors edition with the card but it won't let me pay for my actual subscription. I have checked my balance on my card and collectors edition went through but I have three $1.00 tranactions pending from trying to buy subscription. I've been trying to navigate customer service for an email or phone #. I found one phone number for square enix NA but I was on hold for an hour then it hung up. I really got into this game and now I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to play it again.

    Wow. So glad I'm not even remotely close to being the only person dealing with this.
    Square has charged both of my card accounts (Which everything has been verified as being Correct on my end so it's definitely a problem with their really shitty billing system) a grand total of $14.00 and if... IF all of this magically goes through when they do Whatever it is (if they're doing anything at all) I will be billed for a total of $716.00. I'm already on the phone with all of my financial institutions to make sure that I'm only charged ONCE for what it is I actually want.
    3 emails to customer support. No response (Go figure, right? I don't expect much from the absolute worst customer support in history).
    To top all of this off - I played 1.0. When I played closed beta, my legacy was still there. I transferred my legacy to a legacy world at the end of CB and BOOM.... she's gone. Just freaking gone. Customer support basically told me to "GTFO".

    So! I have two accounts for FFXIV. Both were set for autorenewal (both approved with confirmation numbers). My main account was upgraded to the CE. That went through without a hitch. The other account, which uses the exact same banking information, is up and running without a problem. Downside - it's NOT my main account and it's my husband's account.

    Anyone else know of a "work around" OR! Better yet - can anyone tell me where to find my freaking ticket history?


    ** UPDATE **
    Tried the UP workaround for buying crysta and going from there ---- FAIL. Across the board with BOTH of my cards.

    Just got the wonderful 601 error as well. Tried once, thought I might have made a mistake, so tried again and no luck. Then I googled 601 error and found out about this problem. I tried the Crysta workaround, both with VPN and not, and no luck. My payment went through when I used Paypal, it was cancelled on SE's end. No idea how long my account is locked out for now, since that info doesn't come up on the account information. Of course, no customer support on weekends, so account will expire today. Just talked two people into playing and now I can't play at all.

    Guess I'll need to find a new game to play.

    My question is this:
    Those of us who have tried to fix our subs multiple times (thinking that it was a fault on Our end) and now have multiple $1.00 pending charges (some even complete) and not to mention the charges that were cancelled on SE's end.

    What happens when they fix the billing system? Are all of those charges going to go through? Because at this point (as I'm trying to reup for 180 days so I don't have to do this again for a while) they're going to charge me like $700.00

    I've called them out on FB and I've asked for a refund for both of my games from Amazon. My next step is to blast them on Amazon. I'm up to 6 support tickets. I've only received confirmation of receipt to ONE of those tickets. I've done my part to make sure that if they fix it, they won't be actually billing my accounts because this is insane. I've never seen a game with this many billing issues. Even free to play games have better freaking support than this shit.

    Trying to add crysta and I'm getting a 401 as well. No Idea why, since I managed actually last night... I refuse to use the normal service since they charged me 1$ two times for nothing.

    OMG

    I haven't been monitoring this problem at all for the last 25 days or so because I moved and have many other things to deal with. I'm shocked they haven't fixed this issue, or even bothered to address this as a problem. This is beyond arrogance, and unless they fix this problem soon, I will not even try to subscribe to this p.o.s. game.

    I mean I forgave the fact that my free play was cut off five days early and I honestly still do want to play the game, but its been a month and obviously what's been told to us isn't working, so what's being done to solve this problem?

    Except this isn't a solution for the many people, me included, that get declined when using ultimate pay to buy crysta as well.
