Payment Method Registration Errors [Error Code 401 and 601]

Just dropped by to add one more confirmation that the game card / time card "solution" (more like a workaround) works. And another solution (at the "BTW" section below).

Account: Europe / other regions
My location: Israel
Location of the store I bought the card in: UK (at least according to the URL)

I gave up and went to the site someone mention a few pages back (game.co.uk) and got me a 60-day card using paypal (which is nice, because square don't let me pay with paypal... or at all for that matter).
First try failed with error -24202, but I guess it's because I had the mog station page opened for too long and my session ended.
Second try was a success! I'm in game now and can play with my brother again

BTW, my brother paid with a credit card he purchased from the local post office, that you can load money in it and pay on the internet (I think it's called a debit card). I'm not sure if there's something similar in other countries. He paid for a renewal of 30 days the regular way.

That's nice to know but that method only works with accounts in EU it seems.

I've already talked with SE via chat support and they told me that since I've only had error 401 I should wait 48hrs and try again with Crysta using PlaySpan, which I doubt will work since that method fails every time for me, but let's see how things go in 48hrs. :C

I've posted this into a few other threads regarding this but I can confirm that this DOES work for New Zealand accounts. I ordered it this after noon and it appeared in my email inbox as soon as business hours started in the UK.
The 17 pounds equates to $34 NZD so we might be losing a few bucks in the conversion but at least the addiction can be sated till they fix their borked payments system.

From Australia should I use the Ultimate game card site or the game.co.uk one?

Also I see everyone going the 30 dollar option, can you not purchase $15 and get a 1 month ?

Since i am not in Australia so I cannot confirm if it will work their but i would assume so since we're in the same geographical area and both are part of the EU registrations.

Sadly there are no $15 1 month cards only 2 months.

Just bought a $20 card - having trouble entering it though. When i click on FF from the ultimate game card site it takes me to the SQ login site and I cant find any option to use it? I buy crysta with it I assume?

For the past 3 days I've tried to contact customer service via Phone and Email, I was informed by my CC company that it's due to the Recurring fees is why my pre-paid Debit CC cannot be processed, So I was told to contact FFXIV to have them do a One-Time payment but simply cannot get a live rep on the phone...Total wait time so far 3hrs 20min...Seriously I've played every MMO and MMOrpg on PSN and they have their Subscription Fees and payment options listed on PSN not on the Clients web site!

Im just saying this to say: I purchased this game on PSN I should be able to pay my subscription on PSN!

I have the same problem bro, bought the game on PSN and CC isn't working on their site to pay for the game, why even release the game for the ps3 if you cannot pay through PSN, if i bought the game for the PC then I would expect to use a CC to subscribe to the game.

I'm going to try the Ultimate Game Card method through the Mog Station, however I have been reading that Crysta doesn't work on PSN accounts just PC users only, I calling my local gamestop for more details! wtf...

fyi, I'm in Canada, but my U.S. credit cards won't work on the square enix site as a method of payment, so my work around is to buy ultimate game cards (I used the PC Game Supply online store, as well as I bought one at Shoppers Drug Mart in the store, both cards worked fine), the PC Game Supply site will deliver digitally, so then you can use that to purchase Crysta to pay for your ffxiv account, and then you can setup a recurring payment with the payment method of Crysta. Maybe this information will help someone out there who is having problems.

WARNING/NOTE: this will only work for you if Crysta are available in your region. I think they are not available in EU and actually probably most other countries they won't work, only try this method if you are in Canada or the U.S., or any allowed country.

the note that square enix has about where Crysta has is quite vague but it says "If you live outside of the United States and Canada, and outside of North America and South America, the Crysta System may possibly be available to you pursuant to the policies of Square Enix Co., Ltd. or Square Enix Ltd., depending on where you are located. "
