I just want to thank the customer service over at UltimatePay, they were AMAZING and got my crysta processed in about 10 minutes. To anyone else getting this problem the only solution is:
Since a MOD closed the Thread instead of providing wit ha solution this works for me. and i must say i was once of those "locked out" people and now magically im able to Play again YEY !!

    1) Get a hold of an Ultimate Game Card (best found at Walmart or Gamestop) for, say, $20.

    2) Log into Mog Station/SE Account Management and attempt to add crysta with it.*(99% chance of it giving you an error and rejecting the card - this is just to make a paper trail to be followed)*

    3) Contact the VISA operator @ (650) 432-3200, ask for PlaySpan (read: Ultimate Pay)

    4) Tell the following rep you attempted but failed at adding Crysta. They will ask you for the PIN of the card and for the email that your game is tied to. When they look it up, they will see your prior attempt - makes it fast and easy for them.

    5) Confirm that you want your game card placed onto your FFXIV account.*(Within 10 minutes, you'll have an email letting you know you've had Crysta added.)*

    6) Log into your Square Enix Account Management page, click on "Crysta Passbook", and you'll see the 2,000 crysta added.

    7) Continue to Mog Station, and go through the payment process again, this time using the Crysta that is now on your account. As I said, this is a pain in the butt and roundabout way of doing it (Hopefully you're lucky and can get a digital card from Walmart.com or Gamestop.com), but it will (and has in my case) gotten me back online and playing.

    This works for me!
    Thanks.

People really need to stop posting this. We get there is another option that requires some hoops to jump through and it works. However some of us don't want to pay $20 for a $13 sub given the fact we may choose not to renew again next month given the volitile state of the game right now. That being said it's insane that this issue keeps getting put back on us and SE is basically saying, "it's not our issue so get over it," when it's been shown time and time again the problem is not us, or our banks. The pure fact that there is a system in place that SE can't manipulate to help their clients is absurd. Even if it's just removing the lockout so we can trouble shoot this issue and fix it for everyone.

SE just hasn't seemed interested in fixing this and that's what people are getting mad at. CS agents hang up/disconnect people before they are done talking, no acknowledgement that there's an issue with their payment processor, and no ackowledgement that they are trying to find a way to get their stranded clients back in game. Like many folks have said it's like they just don't care, which from the client side of the fence makes me wonder why i even bothered getting the game I can't even play. SE just made the "don't not buy untill prven good" list just like EA has.

For the record many of us would probably be happy just knowing that someone that can make decisions at SE has gotten on the phone with their payment processor and has said, "Hey what's going on, what do we need to do to get these people squared away?" Silence is not golden.

This won't work for everyone. Some people can't pay in another form that credit card. And it's almost 100% more expensive than normal fee($20 and $13).
SE should be looking for a solution, not us.

Many people dont have the option to pay by crysta because it is not available in there country. the only option some of us have is to either pay by debit or credit card neither of them is working even when calling our banks to see whats going on, most of us that are having this payment issue right now are 1.0/1.0 CE holders it seems that they forgot that it was us that continued to play the game and supported them all those years. and now that they got 2.0 they forgot about they loyalty we showed them in the past, I mean we just want to give them the money to play the game so much of us came to love and enjoy over the years. The people that are still playing because there free time hasnt expired yet are fine but when that free time is up and this happens to them im sorry to say this but i know they wont stick around and bother with all the trouble to try and pay for a game they will just take there money to some other mmo and SE will lose a big bag of money, so they better open there eyes and get this fix before everything crashes in front of there eyes and they end up with nothing but another fail game.

I'm also having these issues. I've been trying to happily throw my money at SE for three or so days now and they just won't take it! It's frustrating, to say the least. I've tried two cards and my paypal, tried both direct payments and purchasing crysta: nothing works. I have yet to try the Ultimate Game Card method, as I'm skeptical of that working as well. I opened a ticket with customer support and their response was basically what has been seen on this forum.

I love this game and I'm frustrated I can't keep playing; I don't know what to do about it. Even with all this frustration, I will gladly give you my money, SE, if you'll just take it. Please?

    Disappointed!

I loved Final Fantasy XI and was elated when XIV was announced a few years ago. I purchased the original FFXIV 1.0 Collector's Edition and stood by SquareEnix despite the opportunities that game had.

Fast forward to two weeks ago, despite not being able to play initially due to my server being full, i eventually got on to play. 'm back in Eorzea and loving it. Until earlier this week I received an email from Square stating that there was an error processing my subscription payment. I contacted customer service and after nearly 48 hours I finally received an email response telling me that the error was on my bank's end and that I would need to contact them. I contacted my bank, and they tell me that there is no reason my card would be declined and that in fact nothing was even put through to my bank. At this point I attempted to use another family member's credit card, but I received the same error.

Obviously, I'm not the only one having this issue. It would be nice if SquareEnix would at acknowledge that this issue may be with their systems and release a statement letting us know that they are looking into a fix and to give us some sort of a time table for a fix. I'm locked out of the game and my patience is wearing thin considering its been 3 years since I originally purchased it. As another poster mentioned, GTAV came out this week. I'm certain the clerk at my Wal-Mart won't have an issue using my card to accept my payment for that game.
