contacted my bank, everything is fine on their end.
I have tried a several times since the 3rd to re-subscribe (noticing $1 being withdrawn and not cancelled everytime)
Have had no luck contacting SE. Their support is down since the 24th.
Quite annoyed.
Am hoping will receive the money back because i didnt get what i was wanting to buy.
Ive seen in many different threads that their is a probable suspension on my account (no notification given) for either 24 hours per attempt of said transaction or else a 30 day stand down. If there is any truth to these i would like to know. Still waiting to get in contact with SE support -.-
So, I managed to contact support with web chat, a little ass, they told me to send an email with card details
I managed to web chat with with support. They have escalated the issue to head office because it is a payment issue...
This is what i got:
After replying i got:The 401/601 error relates to an issue processing your payment. We recommend you do not try to register your payment method again as more attempts may cause your card to be blocked on our service for up to 30 days.
Please note that if you are using the credit/debit card option and have already made 3 attempts or more to make this payment, you will need to wait at least 24 hours before trying again.
To help us investigate further, we would like you to provide the following information:
- Square Enix ID
- The type of card you are using (Credit/Debit, ELV, VISA, MasterCard etc.)
- The country the card was issued in
- The country you are currently in
- The name of the bank that issued the card
- The number of times you tried to process the payment after you got the initial error message
and then:Ok, I have escalated the issue to our head office in order to look into this further for you
Seems kind of scripted to me. As if i were talking to a bot... Nevertheless I await said emailWe will be in touch via email as soon as we have more information for you

Im just wondering , is it only me who still suffering from this issue or not ?
I really want more retainersso once my sub is over and still can't resub with my CC im thinking seirsly of leaving the game till the next patch , hopefully they could fix it in that time .
I just tried to renew today for the first time, got an error code 406, plenty of money in the account.I just deleted the game, I don't feel comfortable subscribing to a service that charges me for an error code and still leaves me with no subscription. Good bye, square: another lost customer.
Thanks to this thread, I finally was able to solve the 401 and give SE money.
It was simply by changing browsers. Just use a browser that have no extensions running.
I have to say Square should be applauded for the absolute contempt with which they treat customers who are trying to give them money. A 100 page thread...no response from Square at all. I've deleted the game and reported Square to my financial institution for fraud, I encourage everyone to do the same.
So, after weeks of trying different cards, changing accounts, different banks, different browsers, different methods, I finally found a 100% fool proof way to get around this problem...
Quit trying and play a different game!!!
No really... But I did figure something that worked for me anyway.
Go sign up an account for UltimatePay (I couldn't actually log in, but I had the account made)
Then I went and bought Crysta and when it asked me for payment method I always tried my debit/credit card to no avail, I received the same errors as given by the MogStation...
So instead, I used UltimatePay as a method of payment even though I had no game card or anything other than an account made
I put in my information and boom, it worked, I was able to buy crysta and use it to get in
So 2 weeks later...
Was it worth it? Probably not, this is one annoying system

Ya I waited for 30 days to finally use my CC and did whatevee I wanted , Im not sure that I wont face it again also not sure if there will be someone who can wait 30 days like me .
It sad to have waste so much time of my sub just wating , but I had MGS to play with XD .
Do whatever SE to make it easy for us to give you our money .
