    Got 401 too!!

    I want to pay you Square!! I have tried Credit card, paypal, game card and sent ticket to customer support. The reply is useless. Good game but very bad payment system.
    If they dont want my money, I will switch to elder scrolls online on April.

    Hi! Bought the game on a bit of a whim and due to family issues didnt have time to play much. Decided again on a bit of a whim to give it another go. Tried subbing and hit the 'oops guess they dont want my money' wall. Guess ill go play something else and delete this from my system cos to be honest if a company doesnt want my money to the extent that they cant fix a several month old problem and its the one thing that most companies tend to get right cos hey! if everything else is broke at least we'll take your cash. Nope not SE they are that cool they dont even want my money.

    I had issues buying Crysta with UGC, support say:

    We can assist you complete your recent SQUARE ENIX purchase via Ultimate Game Cards. For that we request you to send us the Ultimate Game Card PIN and the order ID you wish to get processed in your reply email. We will manually drain the PIN and complete the order for you.
    Whats is the order ID? Please help me

    just wants to play

    about 3 weeks ago i used a pre paid visa card and bought $20 worth of crysta. i have 501 left and now i cant buy anymore?? im using a pre paid master card this time (visa isnt sold in the increment i wanted) and i registered my postal code and the likes. but every time i get to the payment method i double check the info im inputting and its all correct yet receive error 401??? cmon SE i just wamt to play your game! take my money!!

    i used the ultimate pay option, when the pop up opens select the credit card option. card name vanilla or what ever, your info (make sure its the same postal/zip code) and it worked. costs a dollar more though. still lousy upkeep on your game SE, get your poop in a group here.

    I've had this error for about 3 days now, currently trying to fix it. However, I've now noticed that it's going to be almost impossible without a game card of some sort. Unfortunately I live in Argentina, and am unable to purchase any sort of game card at local stores. I've already contacted Square Enix three times in two days, the support being completely useless. They simply state the same situation like brainless monkeys. "Oh, I'm very sorry about that. Mhm? Oh yes? Well you should try and use Ultimate Pay. Oh you can't use Ultimate Pay? Wait 24 hours, then try your card again. We're very sorry, you can buy a game card!"
    After I've told them multiple times there's absolutely no means for me to purchase game time without using Square Enix, they continue to give the same advice.

    What had happened was I had to change my debit card, and what a mistake that was. Now I've had this 401 error and it's been well over 48 hours. I'm going to see if I can get a family member living in the US who can buy me the card, if that doesn't work... well thank you Square Enix for robbing me once again! (Was hacked by RMT sellers on the 2nd day of play, didn't get m account back until 2 1/2 weeks.)

    Ultimate Game Card

    If anyone is having trouble with registering their Debit Card or Credit Card I would advise going to PC Game Supply website and purchasing a Ultimate Game Card. You will get a digital redeem code that you can use when needing to add Crysta. After over six months I finally figured this out since SE has terrible service support and page setup. If it wasn't for this being such a great game I would never support or by another product from them. Honestly I think they need to sell their company to a more business smart company and let them run it.

    i just got the error 401 today, i may see if they have timecards at gamestop if not and they don't take my cc in a day or 2 im done, i an not jumping thru hoops buying crysta or using a 3rd party vendor card that doesn't have options matching the cost of the serive

    I would like to know why it's so hard to pay you guys. I mean i am willingly trying to give you my money and it's not working. Could you guys please help or figure out what's wrong. My bank is not broken or something like that. I have been buying stuff from everywhere online. So this has to be an internal problem from Square. Or is it that you don't want our money????
