    I think I know how to get in

    I was told by a friend of mine that he got it by switching to google chrome, that he originally used firefox and it didn't work but when he switched to google chrome it did.

    Maybe you have to switch the browser or search engine you've been using to something else I just switched back to google from AVG secure search and the next time I get sub money I'll see if it works, but you guys can try now if you want.

    I believe the method quoted on page 7 worked for him. If Crysta is available in your country, I would recommend trying it; I've not seen any testimonies of it failing.

    3) Contact the VISA operator @ (650) 432-3200, ask for PlaySpan (read: Ultimate Pay)

    4) Tell the following rep you attempted but failed at adding Crysta. They will ask you for the PIN of the card and for the email that your game is tied to. When they look it up, they will see your prior attempt - makes it fast and easy for them.

    5) Confirm that you want your game card placed onto your FFXIV account.*(Within 10 minutes, you'll have an email letting you know you've had Crysta added.)*

    6) Log into your Square Enix Account Management page, click on "Crysta Passbook", and you'll see the 2,000 crysta added.

    7) Continue to Mog Station, and go through the payment process again, this time using the Crysta that is now on your account.As I said, this is a pain in the butt and roundabout way of doing it (Hopefully you're lucky and can get a digital card from Walmart.com or Gamestop.com), but it will (and has in my case) gotten me back online and playing.

    This works for me!

    I hate to tell you but that didn't work for me at all I'm not saying it won't work for some but obviously if we all have to sit here do a sting operation and gather intelligence like the C.I.A in order to get in the mog station needs to be fixed.

    I'm sorry to hear that, just thought I'd offer my recommendation in case some people hadn't seen the buried phone number. I completely agree that SE's account management system needs to be fixed, it's unacceptable that this is an ongoing problem.

    I have tried all that Sorbet... And I have tried everything everyone has suggested in this topic. From VPNs to different browsers and anything in between.

    Right now I seem to have gotten up a step in the situation. Now I am getting an Error 401 instead of the usual 601. Which means it is because my credit card does not match up with my place of registration.

    Understandable since I was working in the US when I got the game... and then I got posted to Shanghai (and looks like I am gonna be here a few years). But now for some reason I cannot even change my region setting... But then when I asked a friend back in the US to help me with the registration, he said he got the same error 401 as well which seems weird since I was his housemate for the last 4 years and have been using the same internet and everything since I left the country...

    So to summarize:
    Nothing in this forums works for me
    Error 401 instead of 601
    Cannot change region settings
    Friend back at old home also unable to to help me subscribe

    The only reason why it seems I am one of the 'oldest' posters here is because most of them have just simply given up and what not... Being in Shanghai is very lonely for a gamer and FFXIV held many of my friends whom I have played countless other games with for many years... I mean 'since-Ragnarok-Online' old. So not being able to play and meet up with them in FFXIV is almost like being put in isolation...

    They would save ALOT of hassle, if they simply added Paypal to renewing your subscription, I hate to say it, just like blizzard has. - Instead we have to go with Crysta.. which sometimes works..

    So I finally got in

    So I finally got in switching to Google worked for me but I still think this needs to be fixed and I made a blog on the lodestone to address this issue so that active players of the problem since more people pay attention to the blogs than they do the forums.

    It is ridiculous this is still an ongoing problem. I also kept getting error 601 (browser switching did not work) even though there is nothing wrong with my card as I use it regularly for online transactions. In the end, I found a solution that worked for me albeit not a perfect one - I got a Game Time card from g2play.net (I've seen it being sold in many online shops, it doesn't have to be that one) and redeemed the code via Mog Station. The problem with this method is that it works for EU accounts only and you also do not get to choose the type of subscription nor its length - it's valid for 60 days, no other option.

    I hope everyone affected by this problem manages to sort it out but Square really needs to do something about this because I know I'm not the only one losing my patience or the willpower to go against their system simply because I want to PAY THEM for their game.
