    This is really saddening for all those people who are a family playing the game and may not have more than the one credit card. I for one play the game with my wife and we have more than one card (all with same bank) and the comment above stating that you can't use one card on more than one account answers that bit. But why not my other cards with enough money?

    I am tempted to talk to my bank today and see if they can check with Mastercard themselves because this is ridiculous.

    On top of that, I tried the game.co.uk method and they cancelled the order (paid via paypal, waiting for response to see the why aspect).

    My wife and I would normally get peeved enough to walk away from the game but for two reasons: 1) We have friends we got hooked on the game lately and 2) her account is now subbed for 3 months.

    I really hope for all our sakes that our attempts to try different payment methods isn't shutting us down for 30 days.

    Hi, I'm from France (europe, yeah i know) and like all of you, i cant pay with VISA.
    I still see the forum growing up with complaining and i really wonder if SE will take this seriously or not. I think this is really really bad and we can say it's sad. there are no fixes issues yet, and i dont think SE wanna help.

    I'm wondering if i'll still play (or not).

    If nothing's done (like i think), i'll move for another game. It's sad because it was a good game to play, it was really fun.

    so after waiting in queue for hours I finally got one of there retarded agents and this is how it went.

    You: yea
    Agent Joseph M: For security reasons, please provide us with as much of the following information that you can:

    Agent Joseph M: We need the card number to look it up through our billing and fraud data base, it will show if the payment method was used, and if it has any lock outs associated with it.

    Agent Joseph M: Sorry about that wait, I did check with the billing and fraud department, unfortunately we can not guarentee access to the game outside of the support territories, those being Japan, European, and North American. The card was just not able to be applied currently, most likely because of the card's registered area if it is the xxxx.
    You: what kind of bullshit is that
    You: you sell a product but it is not a guarantee it will work in certain regions?
    Agent Joseph M: The error codes are most likely because the game isn't fully supported in your region, do you know if Crysta is available in the SQUARE ENIX account manager?

    Agent Joseph M: Unfortunately all we are getting is a general error, there isn't a specific reason given. However as the "my location" are not within the support regions we would not be able to guarantee service.
    You: i thought this was a world wide game
    You: you sell a product but cant guarantee the service for certain regions?
    You: this sounds like fraud to me
    You: my brother in the next room can pay for his account but i cant
    Agent Joseph M: It is only in the support areas listen on the web site, you would need to select a region in order to create the account. Only the support regions are available to be selected.
    Agent Joseph M: Some people may be able to get the account to work outside of these regions, but it is unsupported.
    You: so you are telling me you took my money for a game that i cant even play
    You: tell me what that sounds like to you
    You: so is it possible to change my account to a region that is support?
    Agent Joseph M: I do apologize about the situation, but unfortunately if the payment doesn't work on the account we would normally see if there is something we could help with or inform the customer of. The only issue we can see aside from the general payment attempt failed on the account is that your current area is out of the supported area.

    Agent Joseph M: Unfortunately not on the account you currently have, you could create a new account if you would like, but they can only be created for the supported areas.
    Agent Joseph M: Once the account is created by the user, the country code, name, and date of birth can not be changed.

    Agent Joseph M: We can not changed the region, and any payment attempts made outside of the supported area are not guaranteed to be available.

    Agent Joseph M: Not in regards of changing the country code on the account, no. It is possible to make a payment out of the supported region but it is not guaranteed.
    You: so exactly what am i so pose to do with a game and account that i cant even pay to play?

    Agent Joseph M: You may want to try the card they are using as it seems to be working. Just be sure the addresses on the account are the same. There is no guarantee, but it's the best option I can think of.
    You: we did try that as well but got the same error
    You: i was told that you cant use the same card on 2 different accounts as well
    You: im guessing that is why it doesn't work

    Agent Joseph M: That may be, some banking institutions allow it, and others don't because it looks suspicious for the same card paying double of the same amount at the same time.
    You: we never had this issue back in 2010 he was paying for my sub, cause i did not qualify for a credit card but now i have my own and i cant even pay for this game
    Agent Joseph M: I do apologize for the confusion and inconvenience. I wish there was more we can do, but we have exhausted all of our options currently.
    Agent Joseph M: The only thing I can suggest is to follow the LodeStone to see if there are any announcements regarding the expansion of our supported areas.

    Day 2 of (forced) FFXIV Withdrawal: There's this weird brightness outside that is slightly warm on the skin... Must remember not to look at the large light bulb in this thing they call "Sky".

    So I just waited 2 hours in the Chat Support just for it to go "No Agents Available to Chat. Try again later." Uh... I thought that's why I was in Queue was BECAUSE the agents were busy? The Chat Support wasn't closed yet... So what, did all of you jerks just decide to quit?
    I have tried this with 3 different cards that are to three different accounts. You TOOK the payment for the Digital Collector's Edition, but cannot subscribe me? I find it amazing no one has sought legal actions yet for just stealing money at this point.

    I've 'paid' my subs 1 week b4 the 30 days end with this stupid automatic renewal.. everything went fine.. and then when the 30 days trial ends I get a mail saying that my payment was refused..
    Checked the credit card and everything is ok and now when I try to pay this sht I keep getting 601/401 and the funny thing is that there isnt any other payment method to my region.
    soo what now?

    At this point I'd just advice people to stop trying and not giving them anymore money. Flood the forums with posts.

    I bought a product which I can no longer use, because of inadequacies in SE's way of handling payments. To me that sounds illegal. This is not even a new issue and has been going on since september (maybe even august) and they've done nothing to correct it.

    It's a good game, but no one should support a company that doesn't stand up for their own shortcomings.

    I've contacted my bank and global collect several times. Bank says everything is fine and nothing should be getting denied or marked as fraud. Global Collect has said twice now that the problem lies on SE's end. Notice the complete lack of a post or update from SE's side? Obviously having a 40+ page thread last month that was closed and this one that is at 60 pages now doesn't mean anything. Not to mention the smaller threads about the same thing littering the forum. The CSR I spoke to early this morning said its being looked into but there is no foreseeable date of the issue being fixed. To me that translates to: We know about it and don't care, thanks for your initial purchase, now fuck off and quit bothering us.

    The only thing we can do, as we seem to be such a small portion of the FFXIV community is plaster the attitude and lack of support provided to customers that supported this relaunch all over the internet. Spread it around to review sites and blogs until SE feels it. It makes no sense that the game is sold in a region only to not be able to play it. That sounds like theft. Take my money for the base product and then tell me its my fault because of where I live that I can't subscribe and enjoy the product.
