There customer service hasnt chage since FFXI days and i highly doubt it will ever change, It seems that this company would rather spend millions of dollars to make a game that will only work for a certain amount of people around the world.The way SE has been handling everything until now, it wouldnt really surprise me, though i would think putting a paypal option wouldnt be that much work and something that could probably be set up in maybe a week.
Like I said previously, they rather lose a few subscriptions then invest on creating a service that actually works. It is BS, but SE is running for worst customer service of the year award, so it doesnt surprise me.
If anyone is having trouble with registering their Debit Card or Credit Card I would advise going to PC Game Supply website and purchasing a Ultimate Game Card. You will get a digital redeem code that you can use when needing to add Crysta. After over six months I finally figured this out since SE has terrible service support and page setup. If it wasn't for this being such a great game I would never support or by another product from them. Honestly I think they need to sell their company to a more business smart company and let them run it.
OK, I FINALLY got thru to SE Support on Live Chat, and actually got, what appears to be, a helpful explanation. My account is on a 30 day block, because of excessive attempts. Why 30 days, only SE can answer why they think that is appropriate. Personally, I think this is absolutely ridiculous, 24/48/72 hours would seem reasonable to me, but, apparently, SE thinks that's necessary.
Anyhow, if you try to register your card again during that 30 day block period, it extends the 30 days to that final attempt. So, in my case, I waited 1 week before trying this again, and until all 9 of my $1 test charges were removed from my CC, and I tried this (just once) yesterday. I was told my block now ends November 4th. So for those adamant about only paying with a CC, or those of you who that is your only option, find out when your block terminates, and DON'T try this again until after your block is removed. Good luck to all, and see you all in a month.
Edit Note: As a final note on this - SE, if you feel this system is fine, and 'working as intended' you're very wrong - 30 day freeze is ridiculous. For you not to formally address this issue with your faithful customers is inexplicable. Further, you have a responsibility to adjust your registration process to reflect the actual message that your account has been blocked for x days, due to too many attempts. Right now, there is no explanation, and we get a 401 error message, which, by your own explanation is problem with our credit card, which, clearly, is not the case. You could have saved so much aggravation and confusion with the proper message vs. some bogus 401 error message. Your continued arrogance and disregard for your customer base will come back to haunt you.

His account is what's being blocked not his card but even if you try any other type of card it will still give the same error no matter what type of card you use. Got off a call with a se support center. They say it is the players fault for getting there credit card banned, and the only way to pay is to get the prepay cards.

The ability to pay with ANY credit card is blocked from your account for 30days. So in essence, yes your account is blocked from any time of debit/credit type payment. Ok peeps, im off to play GW2 while I wait for Wildstar to come out, a real shame cause I really liked this game. I wouldnt be so mad if Ultimatepay was an option in my country, but alas SE hates money.

They said that the current system is "Working as Intended"(yes, they said those words) and there is no plan to look into or change the current lock out system. He, Daniel (CS Rep's name), said it was the customer's fault that they were getting locked out and not SE's issue.
Second, You can buy The Ultimate Game Card at Walmart and a few other US stores. http://www.ultimategamecard.com/wheretobuy.html This will allow you to use the cards to purchase Crysta and pay for your account time. My fiance had to do this to get hi account working after SE told us to F'off. You will have to go through Ultmate Pay option under Purchase Crysta option in the Mog Station. If you are getting paypal blocked through them or the Game Cards are not working then call them (I posted their number in a previous post on this thread a few pages back) and they will help you get it sorted and the crysta on your account. They actually value customer service.
That is exactly what they told me as well but my other problem like some people the option to pay by crysta is not availible in my region, the only option some of us have is to pay by CC or Debit and after telling them that they just said they cant do anything and just left the chat. It is good that you and your fiance are able to play together now, but some of us that still cant play and probably wont be able to play unless we go buy another copy of the game and start over again.
