Payment Method Registration Errors [Error Code 401 and 601]

Used Paypal, I got a confirmation screen saying that my payment went through. Checked my Mog Station. No Crysta Added. Called and checked the balance on my card. The original balance 240$ has not changed. C'mon SE I'm THROWING MY MONEY AT YOU and you refuse to take it? Usually it's people getting MAD about losing money from a company, not giving it to them. Ultima Pay was a VERY good way for me to make my payments. PayPal is neat too, but I don't like how invasive PayPal is. With Ultima Pay you punched in your card and then ran it through, SE took the money and boom all done. You even got points to spend towards your next sub purchase and those points came in increments of 100. So it was a 1.00 off. I loved it, please bring it back.

SE didn't get rid of Ultimate Pay. PlaySpan (The company that provided UltimatePay) discontinued the service.
if you are attempting to pay via paypal, make sure you are a Paypal verified user. Some folks have been having issues with paypal, because they have not yet become verified, and therefore it takes several hours for the transaction to go through entirely, because it must be checked manually and proved that the transaction is legitimate. This is something that is done on Paypal's end, and SE has no control over it.

Well can't use paypal on their site anymore....
It skips all the steps where you log into paypal and click pay, all that stuff.
It simply goes from me clicking on pay using paypal to done. (Which I know isn't really done, since never even paid them)

So now I'm 100% boned, haven't used credit card on SE site for months still have error 401, with nothing being block, and 100% know money is on the card. Now unable to add crysta with paypal. Just getting tired of hard it is to get simple things done on their site.

So, my 601 error using my credit card and the paypal rejection afterwards was due to the card being blocked by the credit card provider because of a suspect transaction made just before the FF14 renewal. (The transaction was actually OK, just triggered a verification procedure and a temporary block). My bank was not able to provide this info and I had to contact the credit card provider directly.

In my case, the 601 was not related to SQUARENIX.

401 when trying to use World transfer, optional items (Dye's) and even registering credit card information for subscription.
Been like this for atleast 2-3days now, still not working.

It's broken Square Enix, please fix it asap.

I must move my character from that horrible server im on to another better server!

World Transfer still isnt working, same error as mentioned above.
Tried multiple times during weekend and just a few moments ago.
This is horrible!

same problem, 3 times retry - error 401(last time i tried crysta), never have a problem before, recently my friend beg to get his sub payed, is it because i use my credit card on another account

I'm still getting this error???? why??? All this stupidity just to buy a phantasia potion oh my god.
And now I'm getting the 601 error when trying to update my credit card information ... o(-< I've grown tired of this ...

Okay i still havent figured out why my normal debit-card isnt working on mogstation
(works fine everywhere else), no matter if i use a new / old one.

How i solved my transfer issue? (see below)

But, i did however try transferring money from my bank-account to a paypal
account i made just to get this thing working.

Then i bought 2000 crysta, and payed the Server transfer with the newly obtained crysta.
So yeah that's how i managed to solve this, and this works.

1 characater & 4 retainers costed me 1400 crysta to transfer btw.

Took a 45 minute walk to town to put in the exact amount needed for my ffxiv subscription.
Got home, tried to subscribe, error 406.
Thought that's strange, tried to subscribe again, error 406.

Went to online banking, and was now £2 less than what i put in, with it going to SE.
Called customer support and was told that i should have put in £10 in my bank, not the exact amount of £9 that I put in , as they take a £1 test fee, THEN the subscription fee.
Was told it was being escalated, and got a seriously vague answer to when I would expect results. "Oh i can't put a time on it", i asked well are we talking today, this week, next week? "ooh, i can't exactly say".

How about putting a notice about needing the extra money in the account BEFORE allowing us to click to pay SE?
Oh, and gimme my damn £2 back so i can buy another subscription method eh?
