Also, yes you can do the 40 one, but it requires Diremite Web, which requires mob drop which 50´s are also farming.
This is a way so you do not have to fight against other players for the drops.
That´s the idea of the Alternative way, to avoid other players tagging your stuff.

It's true that it requires mob drop, however there are many leves that reward diremite web (the level 20 cotton breeches of crafting in particular, 3x turn in to get 12 diremite web) so I think it's less of a problem compared to fleece.
