With triple exper on an HQ Leve it's not about leveling Weaver. You could level the class with cotton if you wanted to force it.
It's the Guild quests. They want HQ everything for those quests. I got my Wedge cap, my pants and got 96% of the Jacket for the 50 quest. They decided 96% wasn't enough and handed me junk. So I bought the HQ Jacket on the market and got my needle anyway. There is no way I will complete the 3000 achievement with fleece the way it is right now and I will need to settle with non-HQ green gear for the immediate future.
I should also point out, all green gear and a blue needle and I don't anywhere near enough Craftsmanship to make Vanya anyway so until they fix fleece, do it for Careful Synthesis II and no other reason.
The 9x turn in quests are not worth it, i'd rather do the 1x turn in ones that require 1/9th the mats for 1/2 the reward. Yeah it costs more leves, but so what?
I prefer doing the Linen Deerstalkers leve (level 40). 300k exp if you turn in HQ and it only requires linen and undyed velveteen. Also on certain days of the week, this leve will reward you with fleece. 3 turn ins = 18 fleece.
Did say unless someone else have a suggestion. This is something you can do.
Also, yes you can do the 40 one, but it requires Diremite Web, which requires mob drop which 50´s are also farming.
This is a way so you do not have to fight against other players for the drops.
That´s the idea of the Alternative way, to avoid other players tagging your stuff.
Really? It was 500 per last night with wool yarn at 1900 and wool cloth a bit under 4k. Still expensive for anyone trying to level weaver but not too bad otherwise. If it's really up to 5k I guess I'll be selling some of mine today!
Fleece doesn't need to be "fixed" to make Vanya.
1) Buy or make DoH accessories like electrum stuff (neck, rings, wrists), fang earrings, etc.
2) Hop on a level 50 DoM/DoW and do a few CM facerolls with that crafting gear equipped.
3) Convert into DoH materia. Meld onto your crafting gear.
4) Repeat step 1-3 until stats are high enough.
5) Craft all the things.
It's true that it requires mob drop, however there are many leves that reward diremite web (the level 20 cotton breeches of crafting in particular, 3x turn in to get 12 diremite web) so I think it's less of a problem compared to fleece.Did say unless someone else have a suggestion. First, you took what I said out of context. I was looking at Weaver in the grander scheme of things. Right now it isn't practical to level a Weaver because most of the 40+ content is off limits with the Fleece bottleneck.Fleece doesn't need to be "fixed" to make Vanya.

Also, iLevel on crafted gear for crafting throttles Materia.
Crafting Materia IV and V are pointless in game right now. You will max out your materia caps with Materia III. I don't need to grind dungeons to cap my gear.
Careful Synth II is motive enough to 50 cap Weaver. It's a good thing too. It's the only motive.
300 Craftsmanship with no Materia. The only place I can get more from gear is an HQ spinning wheel. The other pieces are control bonus.

Actually there is a lvl 20 leve in Quarrymill that you can do making 3 cotton coifs of gathering for 10 diremite webs and you can do the bonus completions for a total of 30 webs per leve allowance.
