Here are some fake(but kinda fun) patch notes for 2.1 I'd like a lot of this, I hope others would too. Note: I am NOT expecting this, so don't think this is a huge wishlist(some of it is haha) or that I am trying to turn this game into something its not. A lot of this is for fun and "what ifs"
New Raid: The Crystal Tower - 24 man
The Crystal Tower is a 24 man raid with gear equal to and higher than Bahamut's Coil. The higher you get into Crystal Tower the better the loot becomes. While gearing people up, you may need to stay closer to ground level before moving up in the tower.
New Feature: Magitek Combat
-There are now 3 types of Magitek Armor.
-Heavy, Light, Support. Heavy is for tanking, Light is for damage, Support is for healing and buffing.
-There are now specific mobs in later zones that will be too hard for you to kill outside of your Magitek armor. To balance properly, your magitek armor cannot be used on standard mobs.
-3 new guildhests have been added to take advantage of Magitek combat and teach players.
-1 new dungeon has been added that makes use of the Magitek combat.
-Your Magitek Armor can be equipped and customized.
New Feature: Free Company Airships
-You can now have a customizable airship for your Free Company that floats over whichever capital city your FC is a part of.
-It is only equipped with special merchants that you can't gain access to everywhere.
-Some people in Eorzea claim there is a monster that will fix his GAZE on you and most certainly be your DOOM if you aren't careful...how to encounter him remains a mystery...
-We plan on expanding this feature in future patches.
New Feature: New Game+
-You are now allowed to restart the main story with your level 50 character.
-This will give you access to special rewards you have not seen previously
-You can unlock a Moogle Companion, as an example
New Feature: Side quest Allowance
-Upon reaching level 50, you earn a sidequest reflag allowance. This will allow you to reset all the sidequests for a new class.
-Item rewards are no longer provided when completing a reflag quest to avoid people choosing Allagan pieces.
New Feature: Chocobo Hot and Cold
-Buy a voucher and participate in Chocobo Hot and Cold to find rare items you can't find anywhere else. Level up your Chocobo's beak and make digging easier!
New PvP Battleground: Deadly Skies
-There is 1 new pvp battleground where the opposing sides have an airship they are on. Using cannons and fighting off attackers that land on your airship you must overcome the opposing forces. The players must get to the inside of the enemies Airship, slay the captain, slay the engineer below deck, and get back to your airship before you can claim victory.
New Limits
These are optional new limits that you can choose to equip. You may also use the previous limit breaks and ignore these altogether:
Monk – Deal moderate damage to the boss while providing a 50% heal to the party
Dragoon – Perform your greatest Jump yet, causing you to disappear for 5 seconds(ignoring all damage during those 5 seconds) and dealing devastating damage to the target. Deals extra damage to winged enemies.
Bard – Provide a well placed shot to the enemies heart, dealing devastating damage and healing melee around the target.
Black Mage – Focus your magic energies into a Nuke spell, dealing tremendous damage to a single target
Class Changes:
Gladiator:Shield Swipe is now off the GCDSpirits Within is now a 2s silence and the silence is applied the instant you press the buttonLancer:You are now invulnerable to damage while jumping.Phlebotomize has had its duration increased and its potency increasedWarrior:Defiance now grants 12% damage reduction. May tweak more based on player feedback.Summoner:Egi's are now a smaller version of the Primal Model(Haven't played enough of the other classes to know what else should be changed)
Dungeon/Dungeon Changes
-2 new dungeons have been added. Each one has 2 separate wings. If you enter with 4 people, the 4 man wing opens. If you enter with 8, the 8 man wing opens. Will tweak rewards based on player feedback.
-Added a story mode option that you can turn on when in the DF. This will allow you to enter instances with others who are willing/wanting to see the cutscenes. Turning this off will not repeat the cutscenes in instances and will only place you in a dungeon with others who have disabled cutscenes as well.
-Dungeon experience has been increased by 50% from all mobs.
-The dungeon completion experience bonus for having a new player in the dungeon is now default.
-Mobs in dungeons now have a chance to drop allagan pieces. When they do, a piece will go to each party member. The pieces that can drop in the dungeons are as follows:15-20 – 5 Tin pieces per player if one drops.20-25 – 4 Bronze pieces per player if one drops25-35 – 2 Silver pieces per player if one drops35-50 – 1 Gold piece per player if one drops-Treasure Coffers will now always drop Allagan pieces depending on the dungeon level range based on chart above. Every player will be rewarded.
-Trash mobs now have a chance to drop a single tome of philosphy/mythology in level 50 dungeons.
-Wanderer's Palace now grants 60 Tomes of Philosophy.
-Amdapor Keep now drops 100 Tomes of Philosophy.
-Castrum Merdianum now grants 140 Tomes of Philosophy and 80Tomes of Mythology
-The Praetorium now drops 140 Tomes of Philosophy and 80 Tomes of Mythology
-You must run 8 man content to get Tomes of Mythology.
-The weekly cap for Mythology Tomes is now 400. You now have to do 5 8-man dungeons per week to reach your Mythology cap.
-All dungeons now have a level 50 hard version that can drop Tomes and loot synced up as well.
-Treasure Coffers that grant white items will have a greater chance of dropping a green item in addition to the white item.
The Sunken Temple of Qarn
-Reduced Dooms countdown to 8 seconds. Have fun.
Items
-Max health received from all potions has been increased.
-Any item that cannot be sold for gil or converted to materia can now BE converted to materia
-You can now buy an item from the GC vendor that will convert mob gil from dungeons into seals at a 30% rate, tweak based on player feedback.
-Tomes can now be purchased with seals.
-Trash mobs everywhere can now drop gil.
Combat
-Skills off the GCD now properly fire when clicked, can hit 2 skills off the GCD back to back and they will now instantly activate.
-Melee take 15% less damage from red circle attacks(minus tanks) to make up for the fact that Ranged don't deal with them as often.
-Enemies no longer have a max dot count.
-Some enemies were using their red circle abilities way too often(every few seconds) and have had them tweaked.
FATEs, Leves, Guildhests, Hunting Log, Quests
-FATE reward has been nerfed by 30%, contribution has been changed greatly and now will be easier for people who participate to attain Gold ranking. Fixed AoE contribution in FATEs. Must stay for the entirety of the FATE, but can leave the region surrounding the area on the minimap by about 50 yalms to avoid accidental contribution reset.
-Guildleves are now on a separate allowance than Leves. Leve rewards have been increased by 50%, for DoW/DoM classes. this includes Gil and Seals.
-Added 15 new types of leves. No longer will you need to /poke so much.
-Guildhests first time completion bonus is now for every class.
-Added 20 new quests in the 35-40 range. Added 25 new quests in the 40-45 range. Added 30 new quests in the 45-50 range.
-The size of the hunting log bas been doubled from 30-40 and 40-50. You now have more enemies to slay and more reward.
Battle Companion
-You can now mount your chocobo while he is in your party. While mounting him it will pause his timer.
-You can now respec your Chocobo based on a particular price based on player feedback.
-New combat companion, Moogle. You get to name him and customize him just like your Chocobo.
Future Veteran Rewards:
-Month 4Delivery Moogle which will allow you to summon him once every hour to gain access to your retainers bank or mogmail.Mini-Red XIII-Month 5Cloud's Buster Sword as a house decorationMusic box decorative item that plays classic Final Fantasy themes while in your house.Increase your leve allowances by 100 one time(may be used to go over 100)-Month 6Mini-Ultros companion!and much more still unannounced!
Client:
-Fixed the delay resulting in people getting hit by attacks they should not have.
-Fixed some restrictions that were present while having certain windows open(not being able to buy an item while crafting window open, etc)
New Classes/Jobs
Only one class is slated for 2.1, the rest will be in upcoming patches! First, 2.1's new Class/Job.
Martial artist – Ninja
A class that can fill 2 roles, that of a DD or that of a tank. Beware: Ninja tanking is not for the faint of heart, and will require a considerable amount of skill. Can DD from mid-range or melee, wields dual kunai.
Bandit – Thief
A support DPS that can provide certain buffs and tricks for the party, by helping the tank with threat, or maybe providing CC. The thief is a versatile DPS class that wields 2 daggers.
Swordsman – Samurai
A great katana weilder that delivers devastating strikes and helps fill the parties Limit Break quicker than other classes. Can also provide enemy debuffs.
Reaver – Dark Knight
A DPS that can help keep himself healed by life leeches and absorbs. Can nuke from ranged if the fight calls for it with a few dark magic spells, but cannot keep his MP sustained for long. He must return to melee combat to regen his MP.
Corsair – Gambler
A support class that wields a musket and can provide a wide assortment of buffs to the party. Is the only class that can be lucky enough to pop a limit break when the bar isn't full(this is rare)
Machinist – Engineer
Similar to the puppetmaster class, this class uses an assortment of tools for his abilities while mainintaing a lot of party utility. His automaton can provide offtanking if needed, offheals, or deal damage if need be.
Fencer – Red Mage
A rapier wielding mage that combines black and white magic to heal, dps, or support when needed.
Shaman – Geomancer
A powerful shaman which conjures the surrounding elements to inflict pain, or help others. This class has multiple roles and can heal, DPS, or Tank depending on the dungeon.
Mystic – Mystic Knight
A DPS that can provide an assortment of debuffs to the enemy, and provide damage buffs to the party depending on the elements he casts.
Mime – Blue Mage
A class that can direct the enemies own abilities back to themselves. Must first be hit by the ability before learning by standing in the red circle. Don't die though! May need help to learn some of the strongest abilities!
Tamer – Beastmaster
Like that bunny? Or perhaps that sheep? Perhaps maybe you'd like to tame a BOMB? Well now you can. Manage your new pet and his abilities while wielding a trusty axe.
Performer – Dancer
A buffer/DPSer that is similar to a melee bard, but can also step back and heal in emergency situations.
Knight – Rune Knight
Using your Runic ability, you can save the party by absorbing an enemies reticule attack! Also provides DPS from melee and some from ranged.
Templar – Temple Knight
A swordsman who enchants his swords with several different augmentations.
Gladiator – Holy Knight
Turn your Gladiator into a DPS with the Holy Knight class.
Marauder – Berserker
Turn your Marauder into a DPS with the Berserker class.
New Races
-Burmecian rat type race
-Moogle race based on Ivalice

-Zozo, a town of liars, crooks, and thieves. Watch your wallet, AND your back.

-4 Fiends Raid boss(Rubicante, Scarmiglione, Cagnazzo, Barbariccia
-Tower of Zot dungeon challenge. Each floor has a trick to it to complete.
-Tower of Babel
-Ultimate Weapon, Ruby Weapon, Emerald Weapon, Diamond Weapon raid bosses.
-Magus Sisters boss battle
-Chaos boss battle
-Phoenix Cave dungeon that requires splitting up the 8 man party 4 by 4.
-Alexander raid fight. Requires climbing, better start practicing your Colossus fights in Shadow of the Colossus.
-New landmasses/Kingdoms to have more content to level new jobs from 1-50.
