If you ordered FFXIV through the online store PLEASE check your bank statements. They charged me TWICE for the game, once on August 19th when I preordered and again on September 3rd. I paid $107.21 for this game and they are refusing to reimburse me at this time, essentially calling me a liar (Even though I have the statements to prove they withdrew from my Visa Debit twice as well as my invoice) and now my bank has to investigate the charges.

The representative I spoke to on the phone was absolutely useless and tried to tell me the first charge of $53 was a 'pre order holding fee' and would 'drop off' (even though it has already been over a month and there was no credit added to my account for it) and to 'talk to my bank'.

Please make sure the same didn't happen to you!

Since DR is through SE store they did charge you at the time you placed your pre- order then that money was refunded, then you got the actual charge when it shipped out. So the rep was correct, speak with your bank, because a lot of people were wondering about this.

Yes they charged me the full amount at preorder AND the full amount again on September 3rd. I received no credit from their company, my account is down $107.21. They owe me one of the charges.

Did you call your bank up? If that happened to me Navy fed usually just dropped the charge and refunded me since I didn't actually buy two copies. I don't know how your bank works but mine works with me not against.

Then take it up with them, not us. I've ordered things that went through DRI before, and the pre-order charge is never completed and falls off within days.

I'd phone your bank. Visa can be pretty relentless in ensuring their customers aren't ripped off and may pursue DR on your behalf.

I wanted to warn everyone because I never would have noticed that they failed to refund the initial charge if I hadn't looked over my statements. People can be blindly trusting with these sort of things, and considering the hassle I have to go through I don't want it to happen to someone else =/

I did, they're currently 'investigating'. I have no idea how long it's going to take, however. I hope that they are as relentless as you say.
