    Raiding suggestions

    Hello,

    My name is Amputate and I've been having fun raiding on FFXIV but there are a few problems with the game that I'd like to address.

    Animation Canceling

    This is probably our FC's biggest problem with this game at the moment.
    Every time you do an ability the animation it triggers has to finish before you can do another ability.
    This results in silences or stuns not going off in time which results in a major setback or even a wipe.
    Interrupting abilities should be able to go off regardless of the animation your character is currently in.

    (Server) Lag

    Another big problem with raiding is the lag.
    At this time it isn't as horrible as before but we often see delays on our abilities and movement registration.
    Our abilities speak for themselves, you cast something and the spell can't be canceled in time.
    This is more a problem with healers than anyone else since we often start casting a preemptive healing spell which we want to cancel right before it finishes since the tank hasn't taken damage yet.
    Sadly if you move after the spell has (for me) less that 0.7 seconds left to cast the spell will finish.

    The movement registration is most noticeable on ADS and the 3rd node (on the left side) before him.
    When they cast a AoE spell (like the 3rd node's 4 strips of fire) we often get hit by the spell even when we're not even close to the outlining.
    We are very aware of the fact that abilities can hit regardless of what the animation looks like and we know that this is not the case here.

    Possible Cadeceus bug?:

    This might not be an actual bug but felt like it was still worth noting.
    On the Cadeceus encounter in Coils of Bahamut when someone has aggro from the boss when his next attack is the massive frontal cleave (not sure what it's called) it seems like it is impossible to swap aggro as long as the cleave has not been done.
    Quite often it happened that Cadeceus enters phase 2 and his newly made clone goes to attack someone.
    Even when the tank does provoke and everyone stops building hate Cadeceus will still go after his target to finish the cleave regardless of the hate-meter.


    If the 2 problems above are fixed (animations and lag) then this game would be a lot more fun to play since now we feel like some wipes are completely out of our hands which can lead to a lot of frustration.
