RMT are now advertising crystal/shards - Shards need changed

Shards and crystals are easy to farm and cheap to buy on market so why buy them from gold sellers?

My only issue is that food and potions require the same amount of shards as a piece of gear when they last at most 30 minutes. For the love of god SE, reduce the amount of shards required for crafting consumables.

Edit: Or changing to crystals works too, as long as they take 2-3 per synth.

Are some of you people clinically insane? I'm not saying it's too hard to gather them or takes too long, I'm saying it's the ONLY way to effectively get shards. There needs to be more ways/options, or else shards will continue to be the most sought-after gatherable item.

I've been saying this forever..break down cluster an crystals down please implement this. People saying that's its easy to get 1k in an hour..well tell me how you do it? As a level 50 botanist..it takes an hour to get 500 an it's freaking boring...

Well, I am on a JP server and changed my language from E to J in my information and I haven't received any /tell from gil sellers like that for three days straight. From what I see is either that people won't stop buying or gil sellers only care about USD (U.S. Dollar.) RMT always find different ways to make money and all you can do is report them or ignore them. No one can stop them.

-So instead of buying the gil from them to buy shards, they are now offering to use real money to buy only shards. First off, while I'd never do nor condone RMT of any sort I must ask who the heck would look at that and go "Oh that's much better!" ?! Because honestly that's friggin' stoopid right? Why would you limit your monetary gain to only one material medium as opposed to actual monetary that would be infinitely more diverse?! "Oh well you could sale the shards" WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU EVEN BOTHER IF THE GIL WAS RIGHT THERE?!

Honestly who the heck are these people? And how stupid are these people that would make such a market be viable?!
