Party search tool and it's functionality??

Really the FFXIV party tool is not that bad. You can specify what class you need then anyone who wants to party uses search and joins up. Issue is no one uses it so you will never get a party with it. But it does work, it use to work all the time in October before they killed partying because of the first massive sp nerf, ever since then people stopped using them because they migrated towards linkshell event groups instead of random groups.

I think the fundamental problem with the tool is this, there are less people willing to search for people then there are people who want to party. Sorta like in XI how maby 5-10% of the population made party while the other 90-95% just seeked party all day. So there is just no one who uses it. That and the fact people despise change. This is different then XI's so no one gives it a shot "it is too hard to figure out", "it does not work" are common complains which just are not true. And outside XI no one groups until endgame so in thier minds we are nuts trying to group to just level up.

Honestly I bet if say the 4 largest linkshells on each server ran multiple leve/non leve groups with the search feature for 1 week and got people using it. The search would pick up from that point on. Whole reason no one uses it is because no one uses it..... sorta a cyclical problem isn't it.
