Error 601 payment? NO MORE. Fix in here

Since a MOD closed the Thread instead of providing wit ha solution this works for me. and i must say i was once of those "locked out" people and now magically im able to Play again YEY !!

1) Get a hold of an Ultimate Game Card (best found at Walmart or Gamestop) for, say, $20.

2) Log into Mog Station/SE Account Management and attempt to add crysta with it.*(99% chance of it giving you an error and rejecting the card - this is just to make a paper trail to be followed)*

3) Contact the VISA operator @ (650) 432-3200, ask for PlaySpan (read: Ultimate Pay)

4) Tell the following rep you attempted but failed at adding Crysta. They will ask you for the PIN of the card and for the email that your game is tied to. When they look it up, they will see your prior attempt - makes it fast and easy for them.

5) Confirm that you want your game card placed onto your FFXIV account.*(Within 10 minutes, you'll have an email letting you know you've had Crysta added.)*

6) Log into your Square Enix Account Management page, click on "Crysta Passbook", and you'll see the 2,000 crysta added.

7) Continue to Mog Station, and go through the payment process again, this time using the Crysta that is now on your account.As I said, this is a pain in the butt and roundabout way of doing it (Hopefully you're lucky and can get a digital card from Walmart.com or Gamestop.com), but it will (and has in my case) gotten me back online and playing.

Since i was a oversea student in the UK, I constantly used to have a payment problem like this while i was playing FFXI. They just didn't do anything to improve it, and also don't let us to discuss solution? It's so much worst and i am so disappointed.

They wouldn't even acknowledge that there is a problem. I hope this ends up blowing up in their face. There was a 45+ page thread and they wouldn't even investigate if there is any weight to this.

In before fanboys come in here and try and defend square for shutting the other thread without giving as a fix. As for the game. Been on a WoW trial and having a blast, i've done pretty much everything in this game so I can't be bothered to come back now unless I get a bit of free time.

ultimate game cards give you crysta. You get 20 dollars worth of crysta with that 20 dollar card. You then spend 12.99 dollars worth of crysta on the sub, anad have 7.01 dollars worth of crysta left over. You don't magically lose that extra 7.01 dollars worth of crysta.

Although I appreciate that some of you have found a solution, I can't say I'm fond of paying $20 for my $13 sub in addition to calling a long distance number to activate it...
