CRC error for 030000.win32.dat0 error thenafterpatching,"ffxiv has stopped responding

Hiya all, i'm using windows home premium 7 64bit pc,and received my game and installed it yesterday, but halfway through I got a "CRC error:the file c:\programfiles(x86)\squareenix\ffxiv..arr\game\sqpack\ffxiv\030000.win32.dat0 doesn't match the file in the setup .cab file.the medium may be corrupted" message.i cleaned the disc-nothing on it,spotless, uninstalled and reinstalled the game( on 3rd attempt ) then proceeded to patch it,but was disconnected each time at approx. 80% complete.
so I checked: 1/ administrator privileges-yes,2/uninstall and install latest beta 13.10 graphics card driver for my 6950 ati card, 3/uninstall my viruscanner 4/turn off firewall.eventually at 5am uk time,it finishes patching, and PLAY button appears :-)
but as soon as the the opening movie has played, and I get the travelling to uldah scene in the waggon/cart the error/crash is " ffxiv has stopped responding.." and back I go to desktop.Has anyone else experienced this? Can someone tell me if the value of the 030000.win32.dat0 is currently 1,086,500kb when the latest 11/9 patch installed,as im thinking my .cab file could be corrupted and causing this problem,if it is so,other than buying/trying a new DVD of the game,is there a way to get that file from somewhere? Thanks in advance, hope your all getting further than me :-)

I don't personally know of any way to make it verify files, but if downloading about another 9GB isn't a problem you could just uninstall the game and download it directly from them.

    http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/playersdownload/na/

That's the link for the launcher (it's the same launcher for NA or EU so don't worry about that). I'd recommend you uninstall your existing game from Control Panel and then install the download launcher above. Then just run it and it'll go through the steps to download the game for you.

I appreciate that 9GB can be a lot of data for someone to download, but just mentioning in case that's something that's feasible for you until someone else can think up something better.

Sorry that I can't help with confirming the patch sizes at the moment as I'm not at home to check!

Thanks, but i'm not on unlimited internet, and wont get my next 15gb until middle of next month,so reinstalling/patching another 8-9gb is impossible with all the updater crashes over the past 24hrs :-( I just wondered if someone could check their installation of that file and see if mines different/corrupted,then maybe email me it zipped as that's what the CRC cyclic redundancy error check message told me.
    c:\programfiles(x86)\squareenix\ffxiv..arr\game\sqpack\ffxiv\030000.win32.dat0 ( my value is 1,086,500kb )

I have the same size when I look at it in Explorer... properties page shows it as 1,112,575,744 bytes.

Could try the old windows chkdsk on the drive to see if maybe it has some corruption in the file system. I've noticed a few times that XIV doesn't appear to be shutting down gracefully or something with these 9000 and 2002 errors that sometimes throw us back to the desktop. Running a chkdsk has been resolving it for me, but haven't had any major issues like this yet--it's just been the launcher diving straight to the desktop with no errors logged.

In the Search box off the Start menu, type the letters "cmd" and you should see a link to CMD (should have a black/white icon, it's thumbnail for a DOS prompt). Right-click that shortcut in the search results and click to run as Admin so you are in an elevated DOS prompt. Type the following command and press the <enter> key:
    chkdsk c: /F
(for those with XIV on a different drive, change the C: to the proper drive letter)

It should spit out a message about not being able to lock the system drive and ask if you want to run it during the next reboot (Y/N). Respond with Y and press <enter>. If it's not configured as a critical system drive, it may run it directly (even if it's a data drive, it will treat it as a system drive if your swapfile is on there). Type the word "exit" and hit <enter> to close the DOS prompt and then reboot your system. It should run through several phases checking indexes, security indexes... several things in the NTFS structures and metadata. It may take a while depending on how much data is on the drive, and may appear to stall at times (sometimes the progress percentage will actually count backwards and forwards a little). This is normal.

If someone is having a lot of problems with their drives, I usually tell them to run a second pass, but so far I've only needed one pass to resolve my issues with XIV files (so far).

It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved. If this does continue to be a concern, please create another thread to further discuss resolutions or contact the Support Center at support.na.square-enix.com for assistance.
