This is pretty much how Garuda worked in 1.0 (well, the other primals also dropped tokens, but Garuda's were 100%)... but guess what? That made way too much sense! Scrap it!

Chances are the drops for new jobs will probably be in new primal instances. E.g. Shiva or something
that been a a bit too hopeful don't you think.
Introduction new class/Job and not provide them Ifrit, Garuda, and titan gear but giving all the old class/job the new gears from the new primal fights.
Also, if they only give new class/job gear to new primal fights and not provide the old class/job new gear from new primal fights then there will be no incentive for those classes/jobs to play those New Primals since they can't need on gears they want.

This is why they need to alter the loot list based on the jobs/classes in the party, it makes it less random and gives people chance of getting what they want.Master or not the chances of the weapon you want dropping will become harder as the game becomes older and introduce more classes and Jobs. Drop rate now is light since the game is currently limited only 9 Jobs but once they start adding the others, like the 2nd Jobs for current classes that don't have 2nd job yet and new classes with their own 2 Jobs, we are facing a much larger low chance of drop.
or add a second method to get Primal weapons that is a bit lighter for people while still keeping the current method as I suggested here.
Most people who don't support a 2nd method to obtain a Primal Weapon haven't considered how the Drop rate will only continue to decrease as new classes and Jobs are introduced into the game.
Also provide more than just Primal weapon and 1 time victory for relic. There needs to be more rewards for these HM Primal fight that will bring others back such Unique Primal Armor set is one way for people who want Unique Primal Themed Gear set, Mini-pet for people who enjoy collecting Mini-pets, and special craft items for people who craft things for primal themed craft items.

I agree. There was another thread suggesting much the same thing.

but look how people responded.
Ya that was how my ideal originated when I saw that thread.I agree. There was another thread suggesting much the same thing.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...d-Token-System
but look how people responded.
I believe the only reason people reacted negatively to the thread was because it was vaguer in detail about the creator of the thread was actually suggesting.
People can interpret it as a thread requesting for SE to bring back the token system from 1.0 and replace the current system easily which is why they reacted negatively.
The current system is semifine now because we only have 9 Jobs in the game and with only 1 weapon per fight there is a 1 out of 9 chance to obtain a Primal weapon for the Job a person is playing if there are no other player playing the same Job. Current system is good for the short run but in long run the current drop system for Primal Weapons will backfire with introduction of new Jobs and Classes being the cause of decreasing the chances of getting a specific Primal Weapon because the Primals will also drop weapons for the new classes/Jobs.
I've given up trying to get a Primal sword for my Paladin. Have beaten Ifrit dozens upon dozens of times and the sword never drops when the 2nd tank is a WAR, but every time there is another PLD, the sword drops and they win the roll.
Well scratch that, just logged in first time all week, immediately got a PT for HM garuda {never beat her yet, due to incompetent PTs} and holy crap we beat the snot out of her first try. Holy crap again, the GLD arm "Garuda's Gaze" dropped too! And holy crap thrice, I won the roll against another PLD! We then went on to farm her another 6 times and won each time, oh man did that perk my week up nicely! {Still need a token system though}
Its ridiculous....we need a damned token system!
And yes raise the amount of stones we get from primals and make it possible to get some from all dungeons after you get one class to 50. That way while you're leveling another class you can be working toward earning more lvl 50 gear and don't have the to run the same 3 instances hundred of time yet again and again and again...le sigh~! {Or just have more than 3 fricken dungeons to choose from!}

Ya the current system can still be a pain for people, even the ones who are very unlucky since I've seen some people who have runned Ifrit Hard Mode over 34 times already and still haven't gotten their weapon.
The fact that the drop rate will become even worse as new Jobs and classes are introduced is why there needs to be a 2nd method to obtain these weapons.
Also the incentive to come back once people obtain their Weapon and Relic quest also needs to be established as well.
Primal Themed Gear set can be used for people who are looking for another method for gears other than Philosophy Tomes for Darklight or for Vanity use if they don't like the stat bonuses and want the look.
It would be even better if the Primal Themed Gears are actually Primal Themed AF gears. Can you imagine a Ifrit Version of Dragoon AF gear, Ifrit Version of Warrior AF, Garuda version of Bard AF, and Titan Version of Paladin AF?
Of course there will be Ifrit, Garuda, Titan, and future Primal themed AF gear for all Jobs. Of course Summoners will have a field day with these Primal themed AF sets so they can have the look to match their favorite Summon. They may even make the Ramuh Summoner set the Dark Summoner's armor set considering the color theme of Ramuh.
Still it would be hard for me to choose between a Ifrit Dragoon AF set or a Titan Dragoon AF set.
