Use Account When Joining Free Company

As a long-time guild master I have a standard request of all game designers: Please let me see how many PLAYERS are in my guild.

I don't care how many alts we have in the Free Company. I want to know WHO is playing WHAT character.

I also don't want to fiddle around with sending join requests to a member's alts. By using the Account all of a player's newly-created alts are included in the Free Company.

Well - you can see that at least for PS3 players as you'll see their online ID in the Examine profile but not for PC. But I assume that this is to actually protect players (hiding their SE account IDs) to avoid hacking or harrasment and so on so I doubt this will be ever implemeted in ARR. Plus - some people might "share" the account and so on (although it's aparently against the SE rules).

Guild Wars 1 handled this well. You were allowed to be in 1 guild per account, and if you got on another character, it woul tell you the last name the account had online (and would show any other names that had shown up for the account).

Some people create alts to be in other guilds or alone.
- So I'd vote no to auto-adding every character on an account.

BUT I would vote yet to listing Free Company members by their accounts. Don't even need to list the account name - just list the name of the highest level character that person has in the Free Company. And let people auto-add their alts to the guilds they're in. But keep it one Free Company per character.
