You can make a tab that only logs specific things. Having one for pure FC/LS is not hard.-Seeing FC Chat: Void. You are not going to be able to scroll back up 16 hours worth. Unless your FC says 1 sentence every 15 minutes.

I know you can do that, but still... 16 HOURS of chat being saved? I can tell you personally there's no way in hell I would be
able to scroll up that far in my FC. They are very active through chat, it would scroll off the top after 2 hours max.
I know not all FCs are the same, some have less people, are less chatty, etc. However, missing out on some chat really
shouldn't be life-breaking for people. Unless they are extremely anti-social IRL, in which case.. well.. I guess my
arguement is invalid. Lol.
Umm, we are talking about gamers here. Since by average 5% of the western population suffers from anxiety attacks when amongst people. I would believe that number to be higher among gamers since I think it's an easier way to communicate then in person.Unless they are extremely anti-social IRL, in which case.. well.. I guess my
To them, it might be extremely important. Actually hadn't thought about that until you brought it up. But it is a good example why they would want to be AFK.![]()
I'm not gonna lie... I've totally done this when I would go make some dinner. *hangs head*
You can make a report, but I think SE did all they can with the AFK thing. ( perhaps they can code in the system that people doing Craft or gathering that they need to input actions, if they don't, then after 30 mins AFK boot). That's the only solution to this I think.
Edit: Even so, why do they even need to AFK now? I don't think people are having any issues login-ing in atm. I log on and off every night and I have zero issues (maybe a short queue but that's only like a 30 sec wait).

why is this even an issue
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

A reader lives a thousand lives, the man who never reads lives only one. - George R.R. Martin
I hate to say this, but uh, you may want to think about that one again.
the effect on ambient temp. has little to do with the efficiency of the cooling system, the actual determining factor is the wattage used, the higher it is the more thermal waste is produced. The capacity of the cooling system will only determines where the internal temp of the system will stabilize at.
So yea, more powerful - and typically more power hungry, PCs will generate more heat period.
Who cares?
It's a tad bit more convenient and it doesn't really hurt anyone else currently. That's one good reason. It's nice to be able to sit down and not have to wait those few extra seconds to log in just like it's nice to have a computer that boots up in 15 seconds instead of 30.
But even if there isn't a a good reason, why does it matter? It's what people want to do. If they aren't hurting anyone else in the process, leave them alone.
