Auto-logout exploit?

I've noticed (counted at least 20 players in game) quite a few players going AFK "while in the process of synthesis"... in other words, they've assumed the synthesis position, kneeling, using tools to begin synthesis or are in mid-synthesis and just stay that way...for hours...

A way to circumvent the auto-log-out? Because that's what it looks like to me...just sayin'.

That's blatantly abuse of the game. I can't imagine SE intended for people able to stay AFK in that position. I don't see the big deal... Why DO PEOPLE WANT TO BE AFK? Why is it so hard to log off and back in? I've been hit with the queue recently and only 3 in position, it's like 1 min tops to get back in.

There are so many ways to circumvent the auto logout without even running any kind of "macro" or "bot" its kind of funny

If true, then yes definitely report it. I have stopped mid craft to answer tells or talk to friends, over even tab out to check a site, but I resume crafting when done. If they are doing this pause for hours at a time, something is wrong. I think the most I did was a 20 minute pause with a food buff ticking away- never again lol.

you can bypass it just by clicking on an npc and leaving the menu/whatever up, lol

Is this still an issue anymore? I think the login errors have pretty much disappeared, so who cares about auto logout anymore?
