As of Sep. 18, 2013 at 12:00 (GMT), we have confirmed that Lodestone is experiencing a technical difficulty wherein, when a player tries to log in to Lodestone with a created character, a message that says “The character has been deleted and cannot be displayed” will sometimes appear and the player is unable to log in.

Additionally, users also may not be able to log in to the iOS app “FINAL FANTASY XIV: Libra Eorzea” as well, since the app consults Lodestone for reference.

Regarding this issue, we have confirmed that there is no actual problem with the data of in-game characters or characters on Lodestone, and the problem is with an erroneous message display only. However, because the issue is affecting characters on an individual level, there may continue to be other characters that are unable to log in, depending on the situation.

The issue is currently being investigated, but since Lodestone’s data refresh times differ from character to character, it may take some time before the issue is resolved. New updates will follow as additional information becomes available.
