This formula worked for a synth I did earlier today, rosewood lumber or one of those under-level materials I use a macro for. With 303 control and IQ building up I got:f(x) = (35 + 0.35*x +0.000035*x^2) * Touch Multiplier * Condition Multiplier * Great Strides Multiplier
rounded down to the nearest integer
The two in red are off by 1 on your quality test tab, but work out perfect with the above equation. Adjusted control might also get rounded down; my numbers came out the same either way. I'll try out some naked crafting tomorrow to see if I can figure that out, and also if my numbers hold up with low control.216 basic (good condition)
166 basic
189 basic
212 basic
295 basic (innovation)
640 byregot's (innovation, poor condition, great strides)
Nice can you do some testing with 1 star items with and without ingenuity ?
My formulas are close enough for the grand scheme of thing I guess but would be perfect to have the exact formulas :P
And a big fail, my equation is a little bit off. Lowbie recipe Hasty spam:
And the 1 star hasty spam without Ingenuity, landed 11 Hasties on a Gryphon Leather:expected, actual
56 56
60 60
65 64
69 69
73 73
78 78
82 82
So my equation is a little off too, the 0.35 and 0.000035 are probably fractions of 16+ bit numbers. I can say that the penalty for 1 star recipes at 50 is a multiplier of very close to 11/15; using that hit both high and low, with the lows in the middle.expected*11/15, actual
105 105
122 121
138 138
621 622 (Excellent)
86 86 (Poor)
189 190
208 207
225 225
243 243
261 261
280 279

Would you mind telling the formula you use for Progress (from your craftmanship and the effect of recipe level difference)? I can't find this anywhere.
Hi for all crafters who wants to craft 100% HQ 2 Star Items w/out any risk, I'll share my skill rotation and stats for you guys =D
My Stats is : 347 Craftmanship / 352 Control / 370 CP (w/ food)
Note: 365 CP is a must to finish this rotation. No Hasty Touch or Trick of the Trade needed in the process.
My Rotation:
"Inner Quiet"
"Steady Hand II"
"Waste Not"
"Basic Touch"
"Basic Touch"
"Standard Touch"
"Standard Touch"
"Steady Hand"
"Standard Touch"
"Standard Touch"
"Great Strides"
"Ingenuity"
"Byregot's Blessing"
"Careful Synthesis II"
"Careful Synthesis II"
"Careful Synthesis II"
Note: With my current stats, I can still craft 100% HQ with a Normal Quality 40 Durability 2 Star Mat like Vanya Silk. Just make sure other cheap mats like Twinthread is HQ.
I hope that will help =D

Why does simulate give a different result whenever it is pressed for the same rotation?
Because if you haven't noticed there's RNG involved in crafting
I simulate 1000 times the rotation to output the result. If you want a number that doesn't change much I would have to simulate 100K or 1M the rotation. And it would take 1min / 10 min to do so.
1K is the sweet spot I found between precision and speed.
*Head exploded*
To much math....
Wouldn't it be more CP efficient like this:My Rotation:
"Inner Quiet"
"Steady Hand II"
"Waste Not"
"Basic Touch"
"Basic Touch"
"Standard Touch"
"Standard Touch"
"Steady Hand"
"Standard Touch"
"Standard Touch"
"Great Strides"
"Ingenuity"
"Byregot's Blessing"
"Careful Synthesis II"
"Careful Synthesis II"
"Careful Synthesis II"
"Inner Quiet"
"Waste Not"
"Steady Hand II"
"Basic Touch"
"Basic Touch"
"Standard Touch"
"Standard Touch"
"Standard Touch"
"Hasty Touch"
"Hasty Touch"
"Great Strides"
"Ingenuity"
"Byregot's Blessing"
"Careful Synthesis II"
"Careful Synthesis II"
"Careful Synthesis II"
You should be even still able to replace the second Basic Touch with standard plus indeed rotate the order of first five touches to "corelate" with the Bad / Good / Excelent statuses (e.g. to use Standard instead of Basic on Good and especially on Excelent status and vice versa Basic on Bad status).
