Ugggh.. I hate how western players cry cry cry to get limits on content and/or drops handed to them. (yes, even after 40 attempts). It's a game of endurance. Instant gratification leads to game hopping and content dying out MUCH quicker. We all know this to be true. SE don't create/give us content quick enough to support token systems all over the game (I believe that's part of what killed FFXI... the token system works - but the lack of content updates to keep progression fresh is where the killer is).

I personally vote against token systems for high end gear. Perhaps giving a slightly subpar (-1) version of the weapons for tokens is fine; but the real thing should come from... well... the real thing... period. Just my opinion.

This system is a little unreasonable considering by the time you get an Ifrit weapon or such you could have likely finished your relic. Having a completely RNG weapon distribution for these fights just isn't the best course of action. I think reintroducing the Point/Token system would be a happy middle ground, maybe have a shared token between all 3 Primals too, Keeping it simple. Doesnt need to be "5 fights and i got the tokens!" could take 10 or 20, But some sort of foreseeable goal past the luck of RNG would help keep a lot of people motivated.

    Primal Hard Mode can

    - Provide 1 Primal Specific Token by default to all members of the group (dead and alive) for defeating the HM Primal. Once you collect enough you can trade the toeks for a Primal Weapon of the Primal you get your token from. All Primal tokens colected will be stored in Token section of your Character page under Tomes collected section

    - Defeating the HM Primal will still provide the 1 random Primal Specific Weapon from the chest.

    - There should also be other special items you can get by trading the Primal Tokens. For example, you can trade in the Ifrit tokens for a the Ifrit weapon but you can instead trade those tokens for a special Ifrit Armor set or Ifrit Mini-pet.

My post was actually made with the intent to say a mix of both would be the best course of action, Simply not making Tokens a "run and done" easy way, but instead a farther off Obtainable goal, where RNG May favor you before you earn the tokens but if you get so unlucky to say.. 0/20 or 0/30 then You'd have earned the tokens to buy the weapon.

Keeps the general "rarity" of said weapons while giving players a tangible foreseeable goal to work for. To the naysayers all that needs to be said is that every person finds fun and motivation from different sources, While you're content with the current system, some people may not be. We ask not for a nerf, but for a means of obtainment beyond the simple RNG factor. Not easy mode, not handed to us, just a goal.

Adding Armor/Pets is actually not a bad idea too... But I think that was their intent when they added Philo/Myth too the fights. I mean, i see what SE did, I'm just not sure i agree that in some cases the effort of getting Primal Weapons is more than required to get a relic simply due to the RNG Factor.

Well the Tome only for Darklight and AF2.

There need to be a few more varieties other than Darklight and Primal Specific Armor sets can also provide more reason to go back to HM Primal fights because most people only stay for Primal Hard Mode because they want the weapon and for Relic quest and once they're done with those they never come back since the Primal HM doesn't reward anything else out side of Weapon and Relic Quest. The tome reward is also too small in people's views and running dungeons is more rewarding in tomes than the Primal HM fights.

Make it 45 tokens, with a cap on 15/week. This way each week you have the chance to get your weapon and, if you end up getting it before you hit 45 tokens, you can then use those tokens to acquire another Primal weapon from that token system after three weeks. Or, you can make it a month, and have it require 60 tokens. 1 month, or you can spend your life away dashing yourselves against the mountain of the RNG Gods.
