I have to agree with Kayo. This token/tome business is ridiculous. Stop it.
Full disclosure: I am 0/50 or so on the Garuda Bow I want.

+1
About 5 days farming non-stop now. Based on how many Myth tokens I have now: about 50 runs until I first saw my sword drop (lost roll), 75 until next one (lost roll). I am at my wit's end now... I'm very familiar with "the grind", and the "tough luck" concepts of MMO's (flashback to FFXI BCNMs), but for some reason, this just feels very different (in a bad way).
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE (at least for the time being): I find that doing these back-to-back Ifrit runs actually yields more phil/myth tokens then waiting for a 60min queue + 60min AK run.So I actually just started telling myself that and now I don't feel as bad anymore wasting time on Ifrit when I could be gearing up elsewhere.
[con't in next post]
There needs to be an increase in the number of items dropped. One drop for an 8 person group with a loot table of NINE (?), in addition to skewed drop rate %'s (based on my own and several other FC and PUG player experiences) is very bad design. Yes, there are a lucky few who got their drops within their 1st-20th run(s), but then there are a lot of us who are on 50+ and statistically speaking, that doesn't seem right. Something tells me that Luck is not the only factor here.
I'm partially against the token instead of item drop as it just doesn't have the same feel, in addition to everyone just rolling on it even if their respective class/job is at LV.1
I'm not sure if anything I wrote was coherent. I was just sort of venting. Carry on.
Token system will come.
I agree with OP. I think two treasure coffers at the end of a primal fight is pretty fair. 1/8 chance where only one person is guaranteed the drop seems like a smack in the face for the time you invest in these runs lol.
ITT: ppl who are upset they do not have END GAME gear 3weeks after this MMO game went live...
Oh, please. More like ITT: people are upset to get nothing after investing hours of their lives into something. Basically, you can do everything right upwards of fifty times and the game just goes, "lol better luck next time." It's frustratingly bad design, and people are rightfully annoyed with it.
And the option that you want "have your END GAME gear 3weeks after this MMO game went live" so you can do what, exactly?Oh, please. Quit playing in 3weeks?
that would be a BAD option for SE, wouldn't it?
give SE an option that will KEEP YOU PLAYING once you have your END GAME gear in 3weeks of the game going live and you might be able to get it...
