3 Weeks in (4 Including EA) Basics still broken? Why?

Sebastien, in regards to the crafted, it isn't about it being hard or trivial to make, its the cost/reward. Take Vanya Silk for example, 9 Potash per, cost 1125 per silk. Meanwhile you coulda used that on a DL Item which is just as good for starting Coil from what people are saying (Sadly still on Titan myself lolz)
So you could spend less on DL, Enter Coil and upgrade DL (with luck on drops) to Allagan right? Even if you do go down the Vanya route, you still have to be lucky with Forbidden Melds too!
(You need 3375 Philo to just buy the mats for Trousers if you go for a crafted piece...3375 for one item? Thats only iL70)

I'm not asking for Melds or the effort in crafting to change, however the mat cost/amount needed per item is a little on the crazy side!
