3 Weeks in (4 Including EA) Basics still broken? Why?

Yes millions of threads, yes I do contribute to those to, but sadly SE only respond to spam and being hit in the face with a wet fish at least 10 times daily before it sinks in.

We all had faith in Yoshi, a lot of us are losing said faith, and FAST. Why? Basic content systems are broken.

Why does only one Dungeon pre Bahamut award a decent amount of Mythology?

Why does it take anywhere from 1hour up to sometimes 2+ to enter that one and only Dungeon even with a full setup of Tank Heals and 2 DPS?!

Why is it Crafted gear thats hard enough to craft requires stupid amounts of mats to make when in reality by time you could have collected those Philo Mats you could have bought Darklight and/or even be raiding Coil by the time you have it?


There are many more issues but this is my thread and I'm posting what annoys me cuz I'm a selfish Lala who doesnt like sharing his food from his plate! Deal with it!

A pretty simple Fix for the Myth issue which I think would likely lessen the load on AK make Myth rewards better from Primals? 4 from Ifrit? Yes that amount is depressing but currently I'm getting better Myth/Hour from him but why not boost it to 10-15?
20-25 Garuda? etc

Sure you may say when people are capped they wont run these anymore, but really a lot arent anyway currently as the rewards are measly.

Or if this is too much like hard work for SE changing a few numbers for their epic coders of doom, more instance's of AK are Required.

If I wanted to pay money to spend the majority of my time in a queue I'd go Disneyland!

please give ways to fix this not just bash or or people wont listen to you. Constructive critism.

A) dungeon quest suck due to the lack of healer and tanks and dps out weighing them that is not yoshi's fault that is player base cant be fixed unless you come out saying your going to heal and tank not dps for you.
B) I not that high nor do I know the cost of this yet I know why system is in place. what's the point of playing a game if you have all the best gear in a week the no challenge to keep you coming back no reason for you to progress forward.
C) now the Gear I do agree with .. Only reason I could see the system set as it is now would be not ment really for you but ment to craft for some one else witht he extras you get so you could sell if some one was trying to gear up quickly only thing I can think of here. so I do think this needs to be looked into

There are issues of course but the fact that you call yourself selfish really makes it clear that even you know you are being overly critical. Do all of these things needs work, oh hell yea, it's like you went through a list of the most heated debates on the forums and posted them in 1 topic right? This is disingenuous and I'm sure the reason for some level of self loathing because, if we were to take a look at the features of this game that were superior to other titles we would have a lists at least equally as long.

So, to be fair, all of the things you mention really do need to be addressed butto make any claims about actions or loss of trust is frankly dumbfounding.

Full premade groups are getting queues up to 1 hour during primetime. You obviously have no experience @50, so why are you trying to comment on something that's Lv50 specific?

What are you even saying? People should slow down... just "cause"? You're saying that SE's arbitrary restrictions are "good" because it will keep people around longer? Ask any SWTOR or AOC player how well that worked out for those games (Hint: They both went free to play within a year of launch.) This really is quite possibly the most amazing example of WhiteKnight'ing ever. Scientists will conduct case studies on your post for decades to come. Thank you for your contribution to the study of "Virtual Stockholm Syndrome".

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad your willing to admit it's possible SE could muck something up. That's real progress. I feel like we're getting somewhere. That said, you still didn't even remotely understand it, but at least you didn't interpret it through rose-tinted glasses. What's he's saying, is that the quality of the gear, versus mats required, compared to how easy it is to farm AK and CM; Is not appropriate. No one will buy crafted Lv50 gear, because the AK and Tome gear is so easy to acquire. At the moment, the only reason people WOULD buy it, is because they're so tired of the hour+ AK queue just to get that gear, that they'll buy it in a fit of nerd-rage. That's not a sustainable system for a healthy economy and crafting end-game.

TLDR; Stop being a WhiteKnight. This guy's criticisms are 100% on point, and speaking frankly, are specific to Lv50, which is something you can't possibly have experienced.

I agree with the tokens. I don't see why garuda only drops 7. Should be 15 and 20-25 philo. Would make it an alternative for people who are sick of AK. We need more options. It's a shame really that so little thought was given to how endgame would be with just one dungeon(AK) to farm over and over and over for the gear everyone needs.

Actually from what I've seen they respond a lot better to civil discussion than mindless raging.

Why do people think that tomestones are supposed to be the primary way to get gear? the game is new currently, but as with EVERY other MMO with a token system, they are simply there to assist the players who bad luck with drops/rolls to ensure they make progress at new gear and not waste time.


Is ilv 60 content the primary area to obtain ilv90 gear? NO!! but it does give you some of the tomestones to help you get a head start. Mythos tometones are clearly meant to supplement your drops or lack of drops in the crystal tower and Coil (you know that raid we have now that is ilv90 drops).

2.1 brings likely 2 hard mode remakes of leveling dungeons which one will likely be ilv70 content (you know as darklight will likely become supplement to the drops from the ilv50-70 content) and the tower which is ilv80 gear and more mythos to help supplement gear.

Just because it is the primary thing you can do right now, does not mean that it is the full plan, game just came out. More is coming and the devs primary plan on gear progression will become more clear.

And lastly why does everyone want full ilv90 gear NOW so that the tower is a TOTAL JOKE when you out gear it by 20ilvs at release?
