I was at the Odin fate last night and what I noticed is something that's been occurring over and over again on fates.

Everyone was dying, all the close ranged dps were all over the floor and NOONE was raising them. I mean, I was the only WHM there just sitting and reviving them, because I know it takes A LOT of DPS to kill Odin and a WHM can't make a difference like a dragoon or a monk can. The best thing you can do as a healer on a FATE/World Boss like that is keep everyone alive and revive all the dead dps, because this is the reason we couldn't dps him before he cast the ultimate and killed all of us and we failed the mission.

If we have any hope of defeating Odin and the other primals, we need to know exactly what we're doing in there and for WHM this is keeping the DPS alive, so that we don't fail the mission.

Nobody is going to heal/revive other people in FATE cuz if we didn't do enough damage we'll get little to no reward.

Not sure what it's like on your server, but last time Odin was up on mine, we pretty much crashed the zone with all the people in the fight. I have a fairly beefy system and had all sorts of issues with not seeing stuff on screen, even after turning down graphics quite a bit.

This guy gets it. I spam Shout/Linkshell/Company saying WHM looking for odin group for whatever reason, groups are full, the hour is late I don't get a reply...I'm fine with that. YET, if the group some DPS is on has no healer because they want to maximize their dps in group or their healer sucks/doesn't rez...why am I going to take time out of my already pitiful DPS solo to rez entire parties of people who chose not to add me to their group while I was shouting? I'm not mad about not being added, so those people shouldn't be mad about not getting random heals/rezs from strangers. After fight I'll rez some people but sorry for folks who don't get one during....

My role in a FATE is to support my party, and my party only. It is not my fault if someone else's party rushed into a FATE and got themselves killed while knowing they didn't have someone to heal/raise them.

The same thing applies to the folks using /shout to beg for a raise. Don't get in over your head if you have no party heal/raise you because I am not travelling halfway across the map to raise yet another person who won't even say a simple TY after being healed/raised.

Many will overlook this last part, but if I do come across someone nearby who needs a raise or heal and is not in a FATE, I will help them out. Otherwise, byoh.

^ agreed.... would help this issue a lot. It isn't the "healers" fault that they are not healing during fates and resing. They won't get the max reward that way.
