Af2 is waaay better then vanyas due to the big difference 9 mind makes to whm healing compared to the other stats which per point do not effect healing as much. An extra 9 vit is also useful to have.5 melded HQ Vanya Robe of Healing is on par with AF2/Allgan
Going from memory here so it may be off but with the Vanya robe melded to it's stat caps you get:
20 MND
20 VIT
20 Det (1 Det IV)
24 Crit (3 Crit IV)
22 Spell Speed (1 S.Spd IV)
Versus AF2:
29 MND
29 VIT
26 Piety
24 Spell Speed
They are incredibly powerful pieces of gear and the head, body and hands can be crafted at a 100% HQ rate by someone who knows what they are doing.
Teehee... overmelding 3 level 4 materia? I'm sorry there are not more than 3 level 4 materia on the market at all, the cost is absurd for the materials, and overmelding 3 of them will take about 25-30 total level materia due to fails. In return, you'll get no additional MND, which is kind of important.
And yeah, Vanya is unequivocally weaker than AF+1. You will be both easier to kill in event of screwups and heal less. You seem to have confused raw stat points for the value of those stat points. 1 MND is an order of magnitude more valuable than DTR in terms of amount healed. Your crit rate will not nearly make up the difference.
Vanya costs an insane amount of materia and gil to create, plus you're counting on binding 5 level 4 materia. This is impossible on Coeurl right now because there is not a soul on the server who possesses the appropriate level IV materia, nor is it available on the market board (no matter how insanely wealthy you may be), and nobody certainly has the number needed to overmeld 3 times. The material costs to make Vanya from dungeon drops by purchasing them is to the tune of 1 million gil, nevermind HQ fails and paying the crafter. There are not 100 players on the server with that much gil on hand, and there are not materials to make even one set like you claim. So yeah, ain't gonna happen.
Skip spell speed.
Focus on MND and Magic Wep DMG.
Then go for Crit/Det

I dont get why people dislike the DL body of healing. It gives a ton of MND, HP, a decent chunk of MP and determination. That last stat may be why, but it has very good stats in my opinion otherwise. The HP boost is what matters the most though.
You lose helm stats, that's why :/ if Darklights hood was separate then it'd be worth it, I avoid all 1 piece sets. :/ - Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing, but you're better to just skip it. :/

You loose head piece, but the stats of the Body is more than the previous tier (Strategos) head and body combined..., i mean it really is just about the numbers.
Strategos Body and Head
MND = 26
VIT = 26
PIETY = 24
SPELL SPEED = 28
DET = 0
Darklight Cowl of Healing
MND = 33 (+7)
VIT = 26 (+6)
PIETY = 24 (-5)
SPELL SPEED = 28 (-28)
DET = 29 (+29)
So DL cowl has more mind, more vit, a little less piety, and exchanges spell speed for determination. I prefer determination over spell speed, so DL body seems fairly superior to me.

The stats are better but the upgrading after that is a pain. So you get the DL body (note this is actually worse for tanks) now you get enough myths to get AF +1 or you actually run coil and get the allag body drop... but wait the DL body is both body and head... so what are you going to use for head gear? This is why I would go with DL everything else and get stratego body/head or vanya body/head and technically the vanya is better then the DL since it doesn't look like crap :P
The cat is bemused =-.-= (yeah yeah Lala... this is what I always end with so deal with it until I switch back)
Well Darklight is item level 70 and the stuff that drops in AK is 60. Soo.... yes you want Darklight. Each piece may only be a 1-3 Mind increase but they generally add secondary stats and vitality. You'll probably want 3.1k-3.4k before doing Titan Hardmode...
I have 3k from AK gear and the Darklight robe/cowl. I kinda need those other 4 pieces for the vitality boost so i don't die if DPS can't get Titan out of the stomp phase.

It's like arguing with a brick wall. Nothing you are saying means Vanya is bad, or that nobody should ever use it.
In comparison with AF2/Allagan, Vanya can have:
-9 MND
-9 VIT
-2 Spell Speed
+20 Determination
+24 Critical Hit Rate
Not exactly unequivocally better, but no where near "useless", "senseless", or a "bad choice". You don't seem to understand that you aren't locked in a single type of gear... I'd love to give you a some examples where obtaining HQ Vanya would not only be the right choice, but it would be the BEST choice but I'm afraid the sentiment will bounce right off of your ignorance.
