    blm (flare) suggestion

    flare is kind of lame IMO it has a 5 second cast time and most the time when you go to use it the mob is dead...
    my suggestion.

    change flare to an aoe just like frost

    I was under the impression Flare is AoE... At least, I've seen BLMs killing waves of Garuda's plumes with it...

    Flare is AOE. It's a pretty small AOE though and it uses all your mp and is barely stronger than a Fire III. Not very good.

    flare is an aoe but its a targeted aoe i would like to see it like frost where i can place the aoe on the ground not cast on a target

    My buddy got over a 1k Flare the other day while we were running AK... not sure how exactly it's weak? :/
    This is just from an outside view looking in, I haven't leveled my THM even remoted to 50 yet so, /shrugs.

    For AOE...Fire II until low MP, then Flare. Takes care of groups of enemies quite well.

    Agreed. Hard to get your maximum dps potential when you have to wait and see if the free cast procs. It's either that or keep casting fire til you see it and move really quick to interrupt.

    Dude, yesterday- I went 21 casts without a firestarter. What are the statistical chances that 40% would fail 21 times in a row? Back in 2005 I never understood the probability chapter in that damn book. Those equations made my head explode.

    read before you post never said flare was weak i was its stupid how you cast it on a target when it would make more scene to make it a ground aoe
