also this doesnt have to do with healing but does anyone know if they will be adding mic capabilities to ps3 or ps4

They've said before that they will not be adding mic capabilities to this game, iirc. Using a 3rd party thing (ie, Vent, Mumble.) with your LS/FC on your computer is a-o-kaay though!

Another thing i noticed was while getting better gear....a lot of other MMO's have where you can equip an piece of clothing and not have to wear it because it might not match what you want to wear or for your personal style. I wanted to know if i could do that on this game, right now my character looks like a train wreck lol

You can only turn on / off of head gear and main + secondary weapon and tool (when sheated).

The All Classes gear is designed for healers or magic dps. That is why it has MND and INT on it. There is very little class specific gear in general until later levels.

There is very few Mage outfits that look decent because they all look the same as you level.
Even the Mage drop of level 31 I believe looks the same as every other friggin' robe in this game.
They really missed the mark on robes...Really hope they change it up a bit in future patches.

If you want to be a better healer, do a lot of dungeons once you unlock them at 15. Sub-thirty dungeons tend to have very little sporadic damage, so you have plenty of time to develop good technique. There is a tendency for new healers to tunnel vision onto the party window and play whack-a-mole. This is not ideal, though for the most part it will satisfy your role. The best advice I can give you is to grow accustomed to actually watching the fight. There are a ton of indicators in combat that let you know where the damage is likely to fall. You can see which DPS is moving too slow to get out of the AoE, or when the mob is winding up for a big attack on the tank. This allows you to be a proactive healer, rather than reactive, and better prioritize where your healing is most needed. Make use of the HP bars floating over each character's head! Of course, the party window (and focus target, enemy list, primary target) are very useful references, and I have them all arranged surrounding my character for ease of view, but it doesn't provide all of the pertinent information.

Also, quality of life tip: If you are attempting to heal people outside of your party, such as in a FATE, the best place to click on them to target them is the little HP bar over their heads. It's very hit or miss if you try to select them by clicking their body I've found, but the HP bar is quite reliable.

Can't believe no one answered this. Gear, you don't get Cnj gear til late late. Your gear is just DoM gear. That has all your stats. The reason Gla and Mrd have gear for themselves are because they're tanks - they need vitality, strength, and parry - not determination, crit or any of the DoW classes need. As a healer, you share the same stats with dps casters at that level. All you need is Mind and Piety - even determination helps I believe. Most caster gear at lower levels has those stats.

Personally i find that the easiest/quickest method is to target players through enemies, though thats my personal viewpoint

Yes, I assist heal often, but since a lot of damage ends up being splash damage, the people who need healing aren't always being targetted by any mob.
