    A control issue with Alt/Cntrl+hotkey

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, and perhaps there is a fix that someone could point me to, but this is really annoying me.

I use Alt+Q, Alt+W, Alt+E, etc buttons for a lot of my actions. The problem I am having is while I am strafing around the monster, or running with W, and press Alt, my character stops running while the game waits for me to press another button to go with Alt.

It's like it can only handle one command at the same time, so while I'm trying to strafe with E and go to press Alt-W, my character stops strafing and waits for me to double press W or let go of ALT. Meanwhile if I have the button on a regular hotkey (ie 1-2-3) that doesn't require 2 buttons to activate, it works how it's supposed to, without me having to stop.

This seriously needs to be fixed (or is there a fix?) and if you all agree let's get this noticed so it can be fixed soon (tm). Thank you.

Yep, very annoying. It's like when a keyboard will only transmit a certain number of buttons, but being enforced by the game.

Autorun/running with the button held down should not be cancelled by actions for any reason - if it is a spell the action should be cancelled by the movement.

I use only Shift+hotkeys and I don't seem to have this problem. The reason I prefer Shifts over Alts is that there are circumstances where you want to maintain momentum in a certain direction but have to face another direction to cast something or attack something. The only possible way is to jump forward that direction and while midair turn to face another direction to cast and if skill to be casted is an ALT skill, you probably gonna need two thumbs on your left hand to jump and hold ALT at the same time, unless you can press both Alt AND spacebar and roll your thumb over to spacebar after using the ALT hotkey.

If Shifts are used instead of Alts, then it will be much more easier since your pinky can be used together now with your thumb to achieve the midair stunt.

It happens if you have an ability keybound (with modifiers) to the same thing you use for movement, usually WASD. If you bind Ctrl/Alt/Shit + W, A, S or D, you'll stop moving as soon as you hit one of the modifier keys because the game is thinking that you're trying to press, for example, Ctrl+W instead of just W to move forward.

Other games deal with this by not activating Ctrl+W until you let off the W key but this game does not. In the meantime I just don't use WASD for any ability binds.

I don't bind any actions to alt/ctrl + the wasdqe keys, I can move while pressing alt/ctrl + other keys to fire actions just fine. Just avoid binding to the keys you use for movement and you should be fine.

No, it's every alt/cntrl+keystroke on the keyboard. Just pressing alt when you are running with W held down, WHILE you also have something hotkey'd to ALT+(Something) will trigger this issue. Basically you can't use alt or cntrl or shift as a modifier if you want to be able to move while using that ability. Needs a fix, not a terrible work around saying 'just don't use those hotkeys'
