I'm not stereotyping PS3 players, but I think mixing pc and console gamers in one domain is kind of asking for a divide in the community. Console players are more often than not aggressive in their approach to socializing due to the way in which they are conditioned in game to interact with each other.

console player will be playing the exact game as pc players from beginning to end so where did this negative idea sprout from? this is not KZ 3/COD/GTA5, these types of comments (will and do) split and ruin the community.

horrible people will be horrible people.
    haters will hate.

I'm going to have to completely agree with you on that. I would have to say that console gamers are in a larger part, much worse attitude-wise than PC gamers. If you've ever been unfortunate enough to delve into the abyss that is "Xbox Live", you'd know what I'm talking about. I'd say it definitely has more to do with the age-group of console players, than the conditioning they've received.

PC gamers usually belong to a much older age-group (Stay-at-home moms, married folks with families, ect.). While most console gamers are usually in their teens or early 20's. Forgive my generalization, but I'm one to believe that most of the toxicity we see in the community comes from the console player's average age-group. (This is all based on information that I've seen and my personal opinion, of course.)

The only reason I'm on ps3 is that my pc is crap. I'm rather happy with the cross platform sicne I can play with my friends who are on pc.
