This is just one example. It seems to be getting worse on a daily basis. Out of the 7-8 runs I do a day, at least 4 of them are just outright toxic. The people I have run with have almost killed the game for me.

thats why you have a Free company on your own server to do these runs. me and my FC do daily runs while have raid times for what is the farthest we got on coil. i think in the most recent interview, yoshi states something about the reason some things are duty finder accesseble is to force you to find good people on the server to group with along those lines.

"Community" is such a tossed around word, especially with games that have so many players as some do. There are all types everywhere, especially since most people are still on free play time. Plus, how do we know your behavior is as shining as you say? We only have your word, and you may view what you were doing as great. You say you were farming it, were you telling people to skip cut scenes? People always think their behavior and playstyle is fine, and complain about others. Just saying.

It not about being uptight. I ran 22 CM's today and i would say out of that total i only had 2 that were good and the last was right before the server dropped the first time, think we got through it with the counter on 89. So many people come in there and just dont give a darn what anything thinks, they show their ass and talk trash, go afk, train people, lock people out of boss fights and the list goes on. I think the reason we have this is because of the DF being cross server, there's no way to make these people pay as it would be if it was a server only DF. I love the "I just reported you" stuff people say, reporting doesnt do anything, if all the RMT spammers still here week after week doesn't show you that i dont know what does.


I know the other choice is to get a LS or FC with people but that doesn't always work so your stuck with DF. With the free time over with for a lot it has helped some, i was reading a post today and a guy was talking about how things were good in the DF till about 4 pm his time and then people just started acting like idiots and he suggested that it was because the kiddies had gotten out of school and i think i have to agree, i ran into a lot more around that time also.

This is why I stick to Japanese servers. At least the players are polite and if they don't have anything good to say, they just don't say anything at all. If you want, Masamune is the unofficial Oceanic server for legacy (Tonberry for new) and has plenty of English speakers. And you can get by pretty well with auto-translate with the Japanese players.

I also went to Japanese servers because of the trash community in NA servers. I rather play with polite Japanese players then rude NA players who waste my time trash talking to each other.

While it's true JP server are a peaceful dream, silent shout chat, and respectful players, sadly on queue i'm sad to admit the douchebag E attitude is spreading like a virus, a cancer. Maybe most on this thread don't understand 1 single word, when they type. I do, and i can tell they laugh about who do 1 single thing wrong, and if the player try to type anything is bashed. Worst is when one of them using "engrish" answer in english. Then (if you didn't understood 1 word so far) you realize what they are telling to you "You're useless here, leave, we don't need you".
If speechless and a bit confused, copypaste the jp chat, and you will see translated they all was bashing, laughing about you, trying to find one of them able to speak english and invite this player to leave and don't come back.

i understand a bit of their conversation
they do insult, but they do it in a silly way lol
in a duty, i know they were disappointed to one of the silent tank (non JP apparently)
however, the way the express it is not in uneducated way, like adding emotes and such in their chat
even when we wiped, they won't rage like idiots and blame each other
the one who's responsible for the wipe will apologize with a big emoticon, it's fun to be with them

there's 1 fact that i can assure you from my experience, i never met a JP who rage quit

Sorry you had a bad experience, but I haven't experienced any of that at all. I'm fluent in Japanese and never had I had someone belittle, insult, or bad mouth anyone in the party. The worst I've seen is a disappointed comment about so-and-so not doing what he needs to or an "I don't think we can do this". Though one time someone did get angry during Garuda at one of the healers. But their only comment was to "control your threat!"

I'm not saying there's not jerks on Japanese servers, but they are tremendously more rare than NA. In the vast majority of cases, people are much more polite and will simply not say anything at all if they don't have something nice to say. I'm glad that you see that it is rare and I also always have the DF set to JE (though I usually end up with Japanese parties).

If you don't like running dungeons in the Duty Finder because the people you wind up with are rude and disrespectful, don't use Duty Finder.

TL;DR: If you don't like it and/or find yourself offended by it/them, don't put yourself through it.

These are absolutely ridiculous comments. And it's the reason that society has gone to hell in recent years. You're essentially endorsing rude behavior. You're giving them a pass. Rude behavior should be punished, not dismissed as the victim's fault.

This is why we need a vote kick for DF added ASAP. So the rude players will think twice about being ***hats because they'll actually have consequences to face.
