The developers need recognition for their work. If we were paying a subscription fee, I guess we would be more entitled to be rude to them for not developing fast enough etc. However, there does still seem to be a lack of direction at SE, so I cannot applaud them for that, sorry.

but they are still paying their employees to make the game, therefore, we can expect them to put forward something tangible.

i know in my line of work i get paid after i do the job i am being paid for. i do industrial concrete work and i don't get paid until after i pour the concrete and get the job completed. why should we pay developers until after they get the game developed?

Honestly I do love this game. I did buy two collectors copies of the game on launch day. Went so far as to convince the Gamestop store manager to open at midnight just for me. I just recently opened the second copy of the game so that my roommate and I can play together. I've been playing off and on since launch. I haven't really focused down on jobs, just been wandering and seeing what I can do. I do love this game. I'm an old school FFXI player (NA Beta - Dec 2010 Currently on a break from the game). I do have faith in Square Enix. So much so that my account has maxed out Crysta. Thanks Devs for all your hard work.

    Sincerely
    Ceilio Riverwind

This thread is hilarious. I for one feel worse about the state of FFXIV after reading the recent Letter from the Producer.
