That reminds me of this game:

LOL, FFXIV also possible to walk through human/monster bodies now
Big Rigs: 1.0 out of 10
FFXIV: 4.0 out of 10
Funny how immersion is sacrificed for convenience in some areas while not in other areas. Ha.
Give me back character-to-character collision detection and give me jump so I have greater axis of movement and the world will be better for it.

Jumping would be nice in the sense that you can jump off those annoying 2 foot ledges and jump up them instead of going around. However I think to implement jump they would have to redesign a lot of the environment. Not only that it would make running from mobs EVEN EASIER then it already is. Other then the first point I think jump in FF is pretty useless. Bothered me at first for XI but then quickly realized that it is pointless.
Actually, speaking of this, what was the last SE game that had active jumping as a useful feature?
I can't actually think of any at the moment. Closest I can think of is that Slime battle quest game for the DS.
