Tanks, Heavy Darklight and AF+1 not fair.

This isn't exactly a bug but I believe it's something that needs to be "fixed" in a sense. Right now Warrior and Paladin are the only two classes that wear Darklight that requires Both Head and Chest slots to be taken up and both legs and boots. This causes a problem I and many other tanks have noticed. The problem is that when purchasing Artifact +1 you CAN NOT equip it until you have obtained the other piece as well. Every other class get's to purchase their first Artifact piece and equip it but both Warrior and Paladin can't. Example. If I am wearing Heavy Darklight Armor (which is the best prior to AF+1) it takes up my Head/Chest. If I purchase my Head AF I can't equip it because I have Heavy Darklight on. I can't equip my Heavy Darklight because AF+1 + another piece isn't as good as Heavy Darklight. So in order to get the benefits of AF+1 Tanks need both Head and Chest, and Legs and boots, before equipping the artifact.

In the long run it's exactly the same amount of mythology, I understand. But it put's Warrior/Paladins 2 weeks before everyone else getting to equip their artifact pieces. They need to separate Heavy Darklight just like they do with every other class. Head, Chest, Gloves, Legs, and boots all need to be separate. It's a cool idea but it is flawed.

Mages also wear "cowl" which takes up the head slot. This isn't a bug so much as a design choice, methinks.

Not with Artifact and Darklight though. I understand it's a design choice but it puts Tanks 2 weeks behind everyone else in equipping their Artifact. Like I said, in the long run all is the same but for the most part it's about being relevant when end game is current.

I understand the urge of wanting to equip the finally gained piece but if you did that event with darklight I think you can keep going for few more days.

I'm not sure if you are quite grasping what I'm saying. Since Darklight Chest armor takes up 2 slots. And it's roughly 1360?(I think) for both +1 Head and Chest Artifact. Warrior's and Paladins have to wait 5 weeks before being able to even equip 1 piece of Artifact +1. Whereas everyone else gets to equip their first piece after at week 3 and then their second at week 5. So by week 5 both are on the same page but then Warrior/Paladin has to restart the process of Legs/Boots. So tanks are behind 2 weeks 2 different times in the gearing up process.

AF2 not AF+1 and just craft something to cover that slot or just store tombs and buy 2 pieces at a time.

Equipping the new Artifact piece with another item isn't as good as Heavy Darklight. Also, yes I get that you can save up and buy 2 pieces at once but that's the point I'm trying to make. You are at best 2 weeks behind before you can equip your pieces. Seems unfair for them 2 weeks unless it's on purpose to stop tanks from outtanking fights? I'm not sure.

The gear you buy from mythos is called "AF2" and for warrior and paladin hoplite helm + AF2 chest is better than darklight chest. Darklight only requires philo tomes and have no weekly cap. You can become a full i70 tank in a day should you chose to. It is not a waste if you get full i70 down a bunch of turns in BC and get new gear. Because you were heavily geared you were able to down a boss. Being stingy with philo is just slowing progression ultimately.
