Full mouse & keyboard support for PS3.

Ok now I play on both PS3 and PC, as I'm sure many of you do too.

I noticed that plugging an Xbox 360 controller into the PC will switch the UI to the layout we are familiar with on the PS3, but why then does the UI and control scheme not change to the full hotbar style when we plug in a mouse and keyboard to the PS3? I mean the mouse works really well, but the keyboard is only really useful for chat, unless you want to spend time remapping. The WASD keys work fine, but it would only seem complete if we could hotkey spells in the exact same way as PC. It's only logical imo.

Any chance of getting this functionality patched in, or is there a limitation with the PS3 which prevents this?

(not trying to sound sarcastic) I haven't tried, but remapping doesn't sound like it would take more than 10 minutes right??
