And how exactly do you get decently geared before doing AK?
Of course it's easy if you over-gear the content. That's true for any class.

Exactly song is not only for SMN. By playing mana song, what happens ?
Bard loose 20% dps.
BLM loose 10% dps because we are not playing Requiem.

So unless, you have used a rez and are in dire need of mana, as a SMN, you should never rely on mana song from bard.

You are not supposed to do AK at fresh 50. Correct order is WP first to get iLevel 55.

But tbh even with low gear, 2 Bard will still own the wall without LB.

req is garbage and should NEVER be played... its not a 10% DPS increase for BLM its a 10% resistance reduction for the boss and that can amount to 0 gain on many bosses. Mana song is the only song ever worth playing.

Even then mana song is ONLY for healers the loss of DPS for the bard is greater then the DPS increase others will gain. Also you use songs in the smallest incriments of time possible.. For example healers are below 60% mana, you pop mana song and battle voice then when voice is done turn off song because in that 30 seconds they should be back up to 90%+ mana, then wait until they are below 30% to play again, and if your guild is not garbage the encounter should be over or 5 minutes has passed to use voice again.

Bards are NOT a support class. This game is a trinity game, Bards area DPS with group utility. Trating a bard as a support class only shows your ignorance of the games mechanics.

Songs are fine, if im with my guild I use TS/Mumble so I ask them to say if they need songs and do it instantly, In pugs I say before we start "Need tp/mana/Foes say". Bards who dont use it are just gimping there group when it comes to Coil and Titan if your a bard and your like nah dps loss no thanks just re roll :P.

as for songs needing a rework I dont think they do there fine as they are, I saw a good idea that when you play a song it gives your party a debuff that pretty much means that they cant be affected by it again for 30 seconds which is a nice idea but not sure it would work.

I think our Limit break needs reworking to something else supporting like granting a 30 second song that does both tp and mana but reduces our damage by 25% or somthing would be nice but I dont see why you just wouldnt ever use a DD one.

If they don't ask for songs you should be using Foe anyways.

It doesn't lower your damage, and it boosts your Windbite/Flaming Arrow damage, and almost every class has some form of elemental damage they use.

I have full darklight and relic

About 440 DEX in a party.

my auto attack does about 130. 200 with critical.
my normal attacks (non misery's end) do in the 200 range. 300 if critical
misery's end does come to 300. close to 500 on critical.

With every buff you can have on: raging strikes, blood for blood, barrage, internal release, hawk's eye

auto attack: 200. 300 with critical
normal: 400. 500 with critical
misery's end: 500. close to 800 with critical

No changes needed, just re-roll a Bard. The whole all classes for one character design is so devs don't have to bend to the whining. And hey, this is a PvE game right now. BRD victory is your victory.

all i see is people calling for the WAAAAAAAAMBULANCE cause hey are mad they are playing with bad players. Sorry but a bard that does not play songs is terrible regardless of their DPS... Not to mention if they are not smart enough to play songs they to stupid to be good DPS... simply group with better people.

This is no different then someone crying that monks are not doing enough damage because the player is to dumb to play it right so they need a buff. YOU CANNOT FIX STUPID with nerfs and buffs.
