in certain places it is, but not many.
also, I don't believe fates need a nerf. the exp is good, but not great. it only SEEMS good because all the other options are pure shit.
the way to balance is NOT to make all exp sources shit, but rather to make all exp sources viable
I b elieve that FATE as they are indeed broken. They take zero skill, zero effort, and dont promote community at all. The other forms of xp post 50 are just garbage, pretty much forcing you to do FATE if you wnat to keep up with everyone else. I personally am behind the rest of crowd because I personally boycott FATE as they are what is wrong this this genre. Instant gratification for zero work.
Se practically handed people a level 50 character with very little effort so you have a bunch of level 50 kids/morons in dunegeons who have no idea how to play the class they grinded to 50 be it story quests or FATE. Even getting your first 50 is super super easy. Getting your second... 10x as easy. You can literally level a BLM spam the 1 key and get top contributino in a Fate without doing ANYTHING else. Yet that same BLM ques for a dungeon and has no clue what aggro management is, pulls for the tank, and treats the dungeon like a FATE.. its a bad thing.
Crafting is completely pointless pre 50 1 and 2 star gear.. the only thing worth selling is HQ leve turn in items and even that market is hit or miss. There are over 100 recipes that get completely ignored because people are buying GC armor instead of crafted gear people worked to make. This is supposed to a be community run by the players.. right now its a community abused by the players crafting and everything else...
Go to any FATE zone and you have to turn off shout or see every 1 second LFG FATE please invite me... its rather irritating especially if someone questing has a legitimate question that too gets ignored. Classes are pointless in a FATE nobody has a "role" its a mindless no skill zerg period.
For all you people saying it takes to long to level... I suggest playing an MMO from 10-20 years ago where community, leveling, and experiencing ALL content was what made the game.. The end game is fun.. but even it gets repetative.. Increase the xp required to level or decrease the xp given from quests, FATE etc. Make it a challenge to get to the supposed "goal" of end game. dont just hand it to people it makes for a stronger, more mature community with less headaches over all.
TLDR. Fates are an issue, Nerf them, make the game a challenge. FATE take zero skill and ruin the crafting economy.
cause dodging aoes 98% is that much fun. not saying fates arent broken but damn are Dungeons boring as sin. and ya its not fun to wipe over and over because of someone not knowing what to do but there are people who just arent good or have latency issues which suck the fun right out of dungeons to. Which is why im not a fan of Dungeon/quest leveling and wish they bring back grinding to have an alternate way to exp besides either fates or dungeons. and dont say do quest cause if there were plenty of quest to do ppl wouldt be complaing about fates in the first place. they spam fates because quests literally stop at 46.
Partying was fast yes but it does promote a better community. oh god was 1.0 community so much better than this cesspool of filth, or atleast on masamune. oh hey this natalan party was pretty sweet in might wanna do some endgame with these guys /befriend.
This crap now is oh duty finder party with afk P***k, DONT WATCH CUTSCENE F****T, or hey this party is actually good maybe ill do more endgame....... oh.
