    FATES need a nerf

    I don't care what people say,by experiencing this for myself and testing this you can lvl very quickly by fate grinding,

    i was getting about 15k to 80k exp every 10 to 20 minutes and sometimes more.


    not only does it deceive the point in the game, but because you can lvl so fast it makes gear/crafting/dungeons pointless for getting to 50.

    (dungeons) - for gear and exp is pointless as the exp is no where near the exp you get from fates and the gear you will just outlvl anyway very quickly from doing easy mode fates
    (crafting) - pretty much the same food/gear for lvling pointless because you outlvl it so fast from fate grinding.

    its pretty much a breeze to 50 because of the fate grinding which makes dungeons and leve's obsolete for battlecraft.

    fates should spawn less and be a lot harder as they are a group live event that should be able to be completed in 3 seconds.

    I agree, nerf the Fates.

    I haven't done any Fate grinding at all. The only time I do a Fate is if I pass by it or its near by, like a 10 second run. all while still completing the story quests/side quests.

    I work 9-5pm, Mon-Fri. Started my Archer 13 days ago and I've managed to get to lvl 38 (20k exp to lvl39) by doing mostly the main story/side quests.

    You can easily get to 50 for your first class by quests and main story. I actually skipped some side quests to leave for my CNJ, since I was outleveling the quest hubs with what they already give you.

    for starters, dungeon que's take a while because no one is doing them, people are to busy grinding fates to get to 50 so quickly,

    This. As a tank it's easy to get into dungeons, but I am dreading when I get to DPS classes.

    Then by all means, lets bypass it all? Are you kidding? You know how many resources went into developing the story vs whatever you consider "end game"? For a freshly released game, how robust do you think "end game" is going to be?

    The most common retort here is "I don't care how mind-numbing and brainless is, I want max level asap, and FATE fits that bill currently." Thats fine, but wouldn't you rather it be more interesting? Whats the point in having a broken risk/reward system? There is no benefit. Sadly I have friends who think the same as you, and I get pulled into it.

    Your definition of interesting isn't the same as everyone's. Different strokes for different folks. I didn't care about the story, skipped every cutscene in fact. I enjoyed leveling.

    So sick of hearing this statement. When did it become ok to phone in 90% of a game world because we will end up grinding the same 2-3 dungeons at the cap anyway.. We need a new,old way of thinking where the WHOLE of the game is intended to be enjoyed and savored . That is why FFXI at launch shined, their was no point to focus on anything but the current situation because every step along the leveing path presented challenges that would not be over come in one sitting. ...You know,kinda like it was intended to be a game from lvl 1-75.
