Question about PC and PS3 versions

Is it possible to use characters created on the PS3 version of the game on the PC version, some people said you can by buying a PC version and using that key on the same account as the PS3 version is tied to, but I want to know if this is true or if it's some other method since I don't want to level up brand new characters again.

Yes you can have PC and PS3 registered to same account you just need a key for both systems. I usually play on PC but can play my same characters on PS3 version if I want since I have both.

Yes, once you have associated a PC product key with your SE account, you will be able to sign on to that account on any PC with FFXIV installed and you will see all your characters there (they are stored server-side, after all). There will be a few things you *don't* see, however. You won't have your gear sets (the equipment will still be there in your character's storage, but the gear set definitions will be gone). Your hotbars and macros will be gone as well. All this stuff is stored client-side.

Ok, thanks for the quick replies was wondering about this for a while now, been playing the PS3 version since beta 3 and now that some of the queues are so long I wanted to play something else while I wait and GTA V just came out so if I get the PC version I can play both
