I love this idea. In fact, considering that scalability is somewhat built-in the design of the game, I'd wager it's a perfectly valid option that would require not that much work on the development side (some tweaking and such, but admittedly much less hours than making new content from scratch). It would be a great way to get more return on investment on the low-level content and missions, both in a financial regard, and in terms of player interest as well (something often dubbed "replayability value"). +1 for the OP's attitude, and +1 for the idea itself. That makes two cookies for you!![]()
This, yes, love the idea!
“What if life was like a vapor, rising up from the heated viscosity of our existence? One minute it is thick and robust, full of depth, but instantly it changed and separated to near nothingness. What would it be like at the apex of separation? That point when all the steam has left your existence….”
I'm in favor of adding hard modes to every dungeon with varying amounts of stones/rewards. That's essentially all you're asking for and slapping a solo-game label (New Game+) on it. However, we'd only find the most efficient dungeons for obtained loot and grind those, ignoring the rest same as we do now. You're not really adding anything new to the game. You're just repackaging what we've already got.
I do appreciate that this isn't another thread complaining about content though.
Should also add in an extra currency to doing these NG+ story mode so players have more incentive go through it instead of just doing it for the added challenge or allow players to acquire tombstones but at a lower rate; say maybe 10 tombstone of philosophy for completing one mission and increase the rewards the higher up the story the player goes. Could also solve the problem with running Castrum and Amdapor Keep constantly to acquire end game content.
Good source of income and fun. :3
