    More Open World Content

    Good evening Miladys and Milords!
    I didn't see any of these Threads around, so here it goes!

    As the title says, we need way more openworld-stuff!
    For myself, I'm not a big raid-spamming fan.
    Doing them once in a while is totally ok, but clearing the same dungeons over and over again just for some currencies gets quite boring.

    At level 50, there is no need to leave the city.
    There is nothing to "go for an adventure!".
    Of course, there are fates like Behemoth and so on, but what is our gear good for, if you are just buttonmashing along with 100 other people.
    I also have no idea what my choco-bro is good for, due to these points mentioned.

    I would love to explore areas by finding NMs or treasure chests in openworld Dungeons with 2-4 buddies
    or scenarios like gettin' people from the LS "Dude, Camate is up! Wanna kill 'em?? T'is our chance!!".

    Just something that is worth to leave the city!
    The world is so beautiful designed that it really is a shame not to be outside!
    Right now, the whole place became a hub-world for me, waiting to choose a level like in a Jump N Run.

    Buuuuuuuut!
    Please dont refer this as whining or something of that kind.
    Since ARR just started 3-4 weeks ago, massive stuff will be implemented, but I wanted to share my opinion in this matter since this is what would keep me ingame for a long period of time.

    Regarding treasure chests, fisher have something in the pipes about fishing some treasures map, could be of your liking depending the implementation.

    I agree as long as the content isn't placed in FATE. Absolutely atrocious system with so little depth and complexity.

    Yeah you fish up a portion of a treasure map, say it has 9 pieces, and each piece gives you a riddle on where the next piece is. Once you hunt down all 9, you figure out where the treasure is located. Maybe a piece or two are simple "pick it up from a box", have a couple where you have to defeat a beast who guards it, perhaps a couple "jumping puzzles" for pieces, and maybe even have a "rival treasure hunter" team try to get to pieces where you either have to outsmart them or simply defeat them in single combat.

    I could've sworn they said there were going to be open world dungeons. I remember there being some places like that in 1.0.

    Maybe Square Enix can implement World Boss bounties/marks like the ones in FFXII: http://www.finalfantasykingdom.net/f...syxiimarks.php

    In order to do a bounty/mark, you have to visit either the Adventurer's Guild or your Grand Company and see which ones are available to you. The bounty/mark that will be available will depend on your character's level or rank in the Grand Company (sort of like leves). Maybe some can be solo-able while other bounties/marks require a party. The rewards can be xxxx amount of gil or armor, crafting materials, etc.

    Well this is just a thought, but it would be cool if Square Enix implemented this.

    There is no need to leave the city at lvl 50? you don't farm? you don't do FATEs for spirit bonding gear to sell the materia on marketplace and also farm FATEs for seals?

    That being said, Climate adventuring is a good idea, something for the future, but not NEEDED right now.

    NM's, no thanks. Having played XI and remembering how horribly camped they were from botters just made them not worth it. Especially HNM's where a flying taru taru falls out the sky and botclaims Fafnir/Nidhogg the moment it spawns. So let's leave that in the past. Open world dungeons are fine, Fate NM's are fine(Like Behemoth and Odin). Spawned NM's also fine for your whole bounty/hunt idea. I do miss the outside dungeons from 1.0 though, makes you wonder where they went <_<

    Would love to see more open world content. It doesn't have to be just in the form of NMs however. Why not implement some open world dungeons?

    I miss the days of traveling to Castle Oztroja to hunt monsters for magic scrolls and treasure coffers.

    Or if you guys have played Guild Wars 2, they had a system that gave rewards to players for exploring hot spots and scenic points. This was a neat idea and rewarded you for exploring!
