Hey everyone!

I was browsing the Coeurl forums and noticed that a lot of the threads here are Free Companies looking to recruit and people selling/looking for stuff. I wanted to make a thread to just hang out and get to know a few people.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is definitely a fun game, however any MMORPG is only as good as the people you play it with. Though I have a group of IRL friends that I love dearly that play this game, they aren't online all the time (of course) and because of different time zones and just overall daily activities such as work and school, I don't get to see them too often. Therefore I would love to have more people to just sit around and chat with from time to time in-game. So I decided to start this thread in case anyone else is thinking the same thing and is just looking for a place to chill or people to chill out with.

Heh, its funny cause i just posted one of those recruitment threads.
But yeah there are not many just chill threads on here. I have run accross a few cool people in the game, but most people do not talk much.

Funny story: The other day i was mining in the copperbell area, and some guy was just running around cheering all the miners on heh.

Aye, there are a lot of recruitment threads. Protip: don't join an FC if they don't plan on being online 90% of the time you are, or their main MMO isn't this one :P

Glad you made one of these kind of "chat" threads. Speaking of mining, I've seen a lovely amount of rocks with invisible miners hitting them. Not stealthing, I mean straight up INVISIBLE.

Nice thread, so far Coeurl seems like a great server pick. Everyone I have met so far has been generally nice. Still unsure of an FC to join, I see a lot of people running around with JOY tags.. wonder if they are any good?

I know that stealth will fade you out a bit, but completly invisible is weird.

A general chat thread is a good idea. How's the view from 50?

I've enjoyed playing so far, just got my first job last weekend (PLD). One thing I'm surprised by is all the complaints about how bad the duty finder is. I play with my wife most of the time who is some kind of DD, and we get matches within 5 minutes usually. I have met some good and nice players through the finder, but unfortunately it's always cross server, so you can't play with them again.

. . . is what I would say if I had anyone to do endgame quests with. No way am I PuGging AK and the HM Primals on my first go as the tank. I've heard enough horror stories of that.

Ive joined a few groups on the duty finder, and had sucess. Most of the time though i run with people from my company.
